Letter Writing Most children today have very little experience of letter writing and receiving a letter by mail. An activity was conducted in the month of March in the school library to introduce students to the joy of letter writing. Activity was named �Jolly Postman�. Besides its fun value, the activity was aimed at equipping students with important soft skills like inquiring for information, exchanging ideas and opinions and writing about personal experiences and feelings besides sparking creativity. Children from class 3rd to 10th have participated in the activity, wherein they composed touching letters to the Pro Vice Chairman Mr. Vijay Dhar and other teachers in the school. Most students up to the middle school wrote nostalgic letters to the teachers who taught them as toddlers in the Tiny Tots section. High School, however, mostly wrote to their previous Home Room teachers detailing their transition into the new class. On receipt of the letters, the Tiny Tots teachers were overwhelmed with emotion at the realization that time had not faded their memories from the minds of their students. The other teachers too were pleasantly surprised. Every eager letter was destined to find a reply, as the teachers had pledged not to let any letter go unanswered.
Parent Teacher Meeting Child is the center that builds a professional bond between parents and teachers, school and home and social and professional world. Observing a child, understanding his/her capacities by peeping into his/her little world and taking over a parents’ job during his day boarding in school and then communicating the same to the parents to shape up the future of his/her precious pearl is the motive behind Parent Teacher meeting.
Prize Distribution Struggle today, strength tomorrow Motivation is the driving force behind the utilization of the potential of a child and felicitation in a gathering is the best way to keep them motivated and spark the potential of others. Students of DPS Srinagar were felicitated for their meritorious performance in different subjects and the book coupons were distributed among the students to encourage them for further reading of books. A felicitation speech was also delivered by the honorable principal that added to the zeal of students.
Applied Art Activity “Every child is a born artist� In order to bring out the natural quality of a child providing opportunity is must and for that the applied art activities are the best ways to explore and channelize the inner talent of the children besides providing them time to get out of the routine teaching learning activities. Children enjoyed this applied art activity organized by the art faculty of the school. As such activities provide a platform to nurture the budding artist in every child, therefore such programmes are organized from time to time.
The Real Hero Once upon a time, there was a boy whose name was Charan. His mother was a doctor. He helped everyone in his college. He had a friend whose name was Danish. He lived in a village, in that village everyone was afraid of a cruel man whose name was Veeru. He threatened the villagers saying that if they will not leave the village he will kill them all. One day Charan's friend shouted at Veeru, but he got killed. Charan wasn't able to control his anger. He was a brave and skillful boy. So he decided to kill Veeru. But unexpectedly, he also got killed by Veeru. Charan's mother was in deep shock. After few days a boy whose face was badly burnt in an accident was admitted to the hospital where Charan's mother was a plastic surgeon. When she saw this boy she decided to replace this boys face with Charan's. After seven hour long surgery the boy was a copy of Charan. When he regained his senses Charan's mother told him the whole story. So the boy decided to take revenge on Veeru and finally one day he killed Veeru. Everyone in the village lived a happy life then and were no more scared. Syed Anzar 4th C
The old man and his daughters Once upon a time their lived an old man . He had three daughters named as Priya, Mariya and Rosey. Mariya was too jealous of others. One day a man came to their home with a parcel and gave it to Mariya . There were ladoos inside the box. Mariya gave it to her dad. Dad distributed five among each and told Mariya to put it inside his room. Mariya took five more ladoos from the box . When she went back to her room she had a fall on the stairs and all the ladoos fell down. She was so sad. She realized that it was greedy of her to steal the ladoos which resulted her eating not even a single ladoo. Moral: Greed causes you to lose.

The Mouse Have you seen a little brown animal? That is called a mouse. And I always hate it, When it is in my house. It runs very fast, Its feet are pink. It’s sometimes in my cupboard, Or in the kitchen’s sink. It’s sometimes under my bicycle Or sometimes on the clock. I try to close my door, But I can’t find a lock. It’s as fast as a cheetah, And black as a dark cave. Its nails are as sharp as knives, But it’s not at all brave. You eat cheese or chicken, Or just eat some bugs.
