Primary Wing Visits Different Places of Worship.

Class V/VI visited two different places of worship in Srinagar on 15 May, 2019. The purpose of the visit was to impress the theme “Unity in diversity� and expose them to different forms of spiritual expression.

The visit offered the teachers and students an opportunity to interact in an informal environment, mixing pleasure with instructions. Students learned that though different faiths have different religious places, yet every religion preaches harmony and love.

School Conducts SurBahar Season 2 On 6 May, 2019,"Sur Bahar Season 2 "- a mega musical event was organised by the Music Department of the school. Many schools from across the valley participated in it.

The sheer talent and quality of musical event possessed by our young children was evident to one and all.

The importance of providing exposure to such a luminous galaxy of talent was immensely perceived and applauded by the students and the participating schools.

"Entertainment is a great form able to tell a story and to spread a message."

Class V and VI conducted activity of the month-Movie Magic on 23 May, 2019.

The students watched a movie based on the theme entertainment and suspense. The children were exposed to thought provoking movies. The movie which was shown to the students of class 5th was GOOSEBUMPS and class 6th was WALL-E. The main objective of the activity was to develop a critic sense among the blooming buds. The students were asked to write a review for the movie specifying the main settings, the good, the bad and the best part of the movie. It was a great day for the students.

Class 6th D conducted a special assembly on the theme of Ramazan. The motive of the assembly was to generate awareness among the students regarding the month of Ramazan. A thought of the day was put forward. Next the students highlighted the importance of the month of Ramazan. A song was also performed by a group of students to instill a feeling of joy and happiness among all.

NIGHTMARE Jack was waiting for the train at the station. It was a dark night, with a thin layer of mist when an announcement was made that the arrival of the train is postponed and it will arrive tomorrow at 10:00 am. After sometime a middle aged man came and said, "Hello young man. My name is Charles. It seems like the arrival of the train is postponed. You can stay at my hotel for the night." Thank you gentleman. My name is Jack," said Jack. He followed him to the hotel then Charles gave him the keys and went to sleep. When he entered his room, he heard a sound of a girl crying. He walked up to her, suddenly when someone placed his hand on jack's head. Jack moved to see who it was. He suddenly realized he was surrounded by ghosts. In horror, he closed his eyes and woke up. An announcement was going on and a man came to him and said, "My name is Charles.�

Adventures of Ahmed Once upon a time a boy named Ahmed went for an international tour to USA with his parents. He was very happy that he got a chance to visit such a country with his family.

He went to an amusement park and had a lot of rides but at last he lost his parents in the crowd and he cried a lot. Then he tried to talk to the people to help him, but he didn't know how to speak in English. He cried and cried but the people didn't understand what he was saying. It was getting late and the amusement park was about to get closed. The gatekeeper told him to leave because the park was closing. Then he started wandering from one lane to another crying, but nobody helped him. He was very hungry. He had one dollar in his pocket, he tried to talk to the shopkeeper but the shopkeeper didn't understand what he was saying and then he wrote on paper what he was trying to say and brought a bread. He wandered and wandered on the streets and then got an idea.

He took out a paper and a pencil from the dustbin that people had thrown but could be

used. He drew his picture and his parent's picture and wrote ‘I am lost’ and pasted them at the bridges and walls. After sometime, an Indian saw that poster and he was his father's friend. So he called his parents and the police. The police found the child and brought him to his parents. He was very happy that he was back with his parents.
