My granny is lovely and cute,

Spring is here!

She is our family’s root!

Sometimes she is hot and warm.

Winter is gone and flowers appear.

Sometimes she is cool and calm.

She is very charming,

I am back to my school.

My friends are here like fluffy wool.

Her hobby is gardening,

We will all celebrate with lot of joy and cheer.

She likes farming.

FAMILY NEVER QUITS

A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

A family never quits,

A world full of war,

In times of freaking twists;

A place full of peace,

Families help you to overcome your fear,

All have a different idea to release.

They make you strong like a bear;

Some say its heaven,

They will support you always,

Some say its hell,

And help you in many ways;

Everyone has a different story to tell.

May god protect us all,

Some call it a joke,

From any kind of dangerous falls.

Some say it’s a tad; strange, unpredictable and out of hand.

Our love towards our family is so vast, That it makes your work very fast, We should not have any kind of fear, Otherwise we will have a nightmare, They stand like a wall in times of need, To protect you from doing bad deeds;

Personally, I think it’s a good mix of all, Like spring , summer, winter and fall.

Different people make the world so unique!

Some call it dull, some say it’s chic!

Family never quits, never quits

There’s just one suggestion I’d like to give;

I work as a driver.

How long you have been working here?

I have been working here for past 13 years.

Do you enjoy your work? /Yes, I do.

I have heard that you treat your allotted bus and take care of it as your own child?

Yes. I really love my bus.

How is it working for shifts so early or late?

It is completely okay with me. I have no problem even when I have to work till late hours. It is my job to help teachers and children to reach school and home on time.

Any message you want to give to students?

I love students and spending time with them.

However, the issue we face is that students do not come to board buses on time which causes delay in reaching school on time. The students also sometimes create indiscipline in the bus, distracting us which might lead to an untoward incident.

ANNUAL DAY

The Primary Wing celebrated its First Annual Day on Saturday, 15 September, 2018 in the school Indoor stadium. The Chairman Mr Vijay Dhar, Principal Alistair Freese, Vice Principal Shafaq Afshan, Academic In-charges, Activity In-charges and the parents were present on the occasion.

Awards and certificates were distributed in various categories like best student, best class, 100 percent attendance, avid reader. Some of the categories in sports were best badminton player, best racer, best football player, etc.

In his address, the Principal lauded the students and their mentors for conceiving and executing an event of such grand magnitude. He urged parents to encourage and praise their children for their good work and achievements. The Chairman also appreciated the students and teachers for their commendable work.

NIGHT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENTCHINAR CUP Delhi Public School Srinagar in association with Army Public School Srinagar organised the first-ever night football tournament for schools in the state of J&k. The tournament titled “Chinar Cup” commenced from 7th September 2018 and a total of 16 teams played in its maiden match.

In the final match DPS Srinagar and DPS Budgam emerged as winners as it was a tie between two teams.

The schools who participated in the tournament were Delhi Public School Srinagar, Army Public School Srinagar, Tyndale Biscoe School,Burnhall School,DPS Budgmam,Green Valley Educational Institute,Dr AGMs City School,AGS Hanzik,J&k Sainik School Manasbal,AGS Wuzur,AGS Pahalgam,Sanctorum School Sopore,AGS Sopore & Bandipora,AGS Krusan & Chandigam.
