GRANDPARENTS DAY: Grandparents are the people with silver in their hair and gold in their heart. They are God’s gift to us, as we are to them.

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions.

Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart.

To honour them Delhi Public School, Srinagar classes 3rd and 4th celebrated the Grandparents Day – on September 29th, 2018.

The event began with the School prayer, followed by the welcome song . The students put up dazzling performances comprising of songs, dances, Mushaira and Ladishah for their adorable grandparents interspersed with games especially designed for the grandparents. The grandparents who participated in the games also won prizes. The success of the event was evident through the happy and joyful smiles on the faces of the grandparents. The day left many memories to be cherished.

It was a successful event.

VISIT TO PARI MAHAL: “I hear I forget. I see I remember�

Visit to mesmerizing historical monument Pari Mahal was planned on 3rd of September 2018 for class 4th students. The visit was a combination of nature walk , historical visit, science visit and it proved to be a real subject integration.

The teachers discussed the history, architecture and the literary significance of Pari Mahal.

Students enjoyed the visit and learnt a lot about the various aspects of the place.

VISIT TO AN ORPHANAGE: It was a day that was full of excitement, emotions, joy and enthusiasm and children were ready with their gifts for the little children living in Madri Meharbaan Orphanage.

Children visited the orphanage on 3rd September, interacted with the children and shared their experience.

CLOWN SHOW: Clown show- clowns without borders.

The arrival of a good clown exercise is a more beneficial influence upon the health of a town than a truck laden with medicine.

16th of September proved to be a cheerful day for class 4th students as they got a chance to be a part of the clown show organized by a group of clowns from Germany. Their funny acts echoed and they succeeded in bringing a smile on everyone’s face and the entire auditorium was filled with laughter.

Station Master and a Lady Passenger(Joke) A lady was running to catch a train to Bangalore. She reached the station and was searching for the train.

Lady: (Asked to the station master) Sir, is this my train?

Station Master: No Madam, this is not your train, it’s the train of Railway department.

Lady: (Annoyed) That’s a good joke. Don’t act too smart.

What I meant was, can I take this train to Bangalore?

Station Master: No ma’am, you cannot! This train is so BIG and you can’t take it.

Lady: It's really funny! Now tell me, will this train take me to Bangalore?

Station Master: NO ma’am. The train can’t take you. The train driver will drive it to Bangalore.

The lady fainted!

Our Campus Manager Campus manager was introduced on 3 April 2013. It is a speedy and reliable source where in teachers and parents get in touch with each other. Parents are updated about daily classwork and homework of children. Incharges send messages regarding different activities, picnics and visits.

Parents can access the subject teachers if they sometimes do not understand.

Everyone remains informed about the latest happenings in the school. Campus manager has brought everyone related to school closer.
