ENGLISH Class VII and VIII Formal letter writing was conducted during extra classes in the month of August. In this activity, the letter was assigned to children and they were asked to write the letter in about 150 words using pictures related to the subject of the letter. This activity helped children to express their thoughts and ideas. The most interesting part of the activity was that the children reflected their ideas via pictures, cartoons and different pattern of flora and fauna. The activity turned out to be fun especially for those students who show a cold shoulder towards writing. The students mostly consider letter writing an outdated thing but art based writing made them eager to participate.

MATHEMATICS Class VII and VIII Activity: To prove identity (a - b)^2 = a^2 + b^2+2ab by paper cutting and pasting. This activity was related to identifying (a + b)^2= a^2 + b^2 +2ab. In this activity, the students drew two squares of sides a and b respectively and drew two rectangles of length a and breadth b respectively. Then they joined them in such a way that they got a square of side a+b. In this activity students learnt that (a + b)^2 = a^2+b^2+2ab. This activity was an individual activity and most of the students participated actively. Students enjoyed the activity and simultaneously learnt that how can they prove by paper cutting and pasting (a+b)^2-a^2+h^2+2ab.

SCIENCE Class VII and VIII 1.Production of

gas (Class VII) Students performed the activity of production of gas with the help of vinegar and baking powder.

Students not only actively participated but thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this activity. This activity created an ambience of learning by doing.

SOCIAL SCIENCE Class VII and VIII Class VII: As per the monthly planner, the activity for class 7th was "Mughal Family Tree". The said activity was conducted in the form of presentation on 23rd August,2021. The class was divided into six groups having six students each and each student spoke about the six Great Mughals------ their rule, expansion and military campaigns. They even represented the same by pasting pictures on an A4 size paper. The children enjoyed this activity and had done a lot of research.

Class VIII: An activity was conducted on 26th August,2021 on the topic "Education and British Rule". The said activity was conducted as group discussion in which the students spoke on different aspects of education during pre-British times and how the change was brought about in the field of education by the British rulers, particularly after the Revolt of 1857. The students spoke on various commissions like the Hunter Commission, Raleigh Commission, etc. Overall, the activity was wonderful and a lot of research work was done by the students.

URDU Class VII and VIII In class 8th the activity was based on writing skill. In this activity students were asked to collect the pictures of different flying insects and write a descriptive light essay on "Honey Bee". The children enjoyed the activity and were very much involved into that. They comprehended the said topic thoroughly and maximum students participated in the activity.

In class 7th the activity was based on the "collage making".

In this activity students were asked to write different wise sayings of "Hakeem Luqmaan" and use them in collage making. This activity was a fruitful one and was enjoyed by all students.

HINDI Class VII and VIII Class 8 The topic for the activity was story review writing where in students were given instructions to read any story of one of the famous writers Munshi Prem Chand and present story review in the class. They wrote about the inspiration and motivation that they got from reading the story and writing about the same. There was a presentation of their review writing and discussion about the inspiration and motivation that they got from the story.

Class 7 The topic for the activity was Shabd Vivek where in all children were made aware about the different types of words and how to use the words in sentences.

In this activity students were deeply made to understand about concepts of hindi grammar like Vilom,Paryavachi,Anaik shabd ke liye ek shabd, Binarthak Shabd,and saman arthak shabd.

For extra class7 During the extra classes the topic for the activity was Matrao Ki Shuddi wherein they were made to understand how to correctly use matras in sentences and then in this activity students were asked to frame a story, poem or paragraph to see that they have understood the topic correctly and improved their use of matras while framing the story, poem or paragraph. Students made a presentation on this activity in zoom class. It helped them a lot in correcting their matra mistakes.

KASHMIRI Class VII and VIII Activity (Speech on Nationalism).

Chapter: Watnuk Tarani.

Students were asked to make an audio or video clip of their speech on the topic of Nationalism ( Hubul watni). Students sent their audio clips and video clips. Some students made this activity remarkable. An appreciation mail was sent to their parents. Students enjoyed the activity.

Activity (Role play) Chapter Kokur Chu Wanan.

Students were asked to choose a character for the role play (like peer saeb, Doctor, Nosh, Kuur).

They were asked to involve one or two family members in the role play. They sent 2 to 3 minutes long videos. Some students made it marvellously and acted like original characters. An appreciation mail was sent to their parents. Students enjoyed the activity.

Workshop with Mr Vikramjeet Two workshops by Mr Vikramjeet were scheduled. First on 2 and 3 August and second on 5 and 6 August with a mixed group of 20 teachers (grade 5 to 8). The workshop was conducted in LRC department. All teachers reported to school at 9:30 am and were happy to come to school after long time and meet their fellow colleagues. Workshop started at sharp 10:00 am and concluded next day at 6:15 pm. The participants witnessed the magic of Mr Vikramjeet's work and felt relaxed and enjoyed each moment of the workshop. It was a delight to see all teachers especially male teachers, who are usually particular about time so engrossed that they had lost the sense of time. Various activities like Ball activity, Puppetry and Shoe Box activity were done. Mr Vikramjeet gave the participants a task of answering twenty-nine questions which made the teachers meet their inner child and compelled them to share it with others.

All this created a tsunami of thoughts as if it was waiting for an appropriate time to get unleashed. The workshop destroyed the so-called stereotypical notion that "men don't weep- they are strong. All these activities helped in bringing the group closer unknowingly and unconsciously a bond of trust was created.

Trainees shared their life experiences. Tears rolled down, tissue boxes were exhausted but none of them felt hesitant or even stopped himself/herself from sharing their experiences. They felt relaxed by expressing their sorrow and pain.

The workshop was insightful. Ms Vikramjeet's talent of judging the personality of a person by observing his body gestures or postures, reading the minds of people by carefully listening to them was impressive.

His way of conducting the workshop and creating an aura wherein no one felt scared in confiding before him and others, was commendable.

Session was a blend of sobs, joy and fear. It ended on a great note. The staff requested to organize more of such sessions, as it was for the first time, they were made to meet their inner self and realize the importance of self-love which unfortunately takes a backseat due to worldly affairs. All teachers went home with a relaxed mindset and spoke so high about the session to the other groups, which made them eagerly look forward for the same.

THE SHIP There once was a ship that was broken and rusted at the port of New Zealand. One day, a man named Rudy came to New Zealand. He was a mechanic. When he saw the ship, he started thinking about fixing it. So, he found the owner and told him about how he can fix it. The owner however refused because the ship was 200 years old and he also told him that he was thinking of sell to it to the richest man in New Zealand, Bobby Mandof.

After the conversation, Rudy started to think that why would Bobby Mandof buy a ship which is 200 years old. After some days, Bobby bought the ship and it was Rudy’s luck that he was chosen to repair the ship. When Rudy reached there, an old man asked him whether he was there to fix it.

Rudy affirmed. The old man told him that many people had tried to fix that ship but were killed in the accident. So, Rudy understood why the first owner of the ship was trying to sell it. However, Rudy was fearless and went in.

When he saw the situation of ship, he went to search for the weak points. After some time, when he spotted the weak points, he told his co-workers about how dangerous they were. He told everyone to be careful.

One day, a worker met an accident. After that day all the people were scared to work, but Rudy wasn't. He kept on working till he fully fixed the ship. When he was done, he called Bobby Mandof, but he heard that he was dead! He was the same old man that had met him on the first day.

He received a letter from Bobby two months later. In the letter, Bobby had mentioned about some money on the ship, in a secret compartment under the area of the deck. Rudy rushed to the ship after reading it and found the stash of money. He gave all the money to a charity because it was not mentioned on the paper as what to do with the money. However, he got a lot of money from Bobby’s butler for repairing the ship.

The sum was huge and he lived a happy life afterwards.
