Special Assembly held to commemorate BAISAKHI

Keeping in view the tradition of celebrating all festivals with fervour and gaiety and introducing the children to their rich culture and heritage a special assembly was conducted on Baisakhi on 13 April 2021 by classes V VIII. The teachers briefed the students about the significance and importance of the festival. A virtual assembly was conducted to celebrate Baisakhi wherein children were dressed in traditional Punjabi attire. Punjabi folk dance was also performed by some children. Students made charts and beautiful drawings reflecting the festival of Baisakhi and prayed for each other’s well-being and good health.

Special Assembly held to commemorate RAMADHAN

With this thought, a special assembly was conducted by the students on the arrival of Ramadan on 13 -20 April 2021. Teachers briefed the children about the importance of this month for Muslims. Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, fasting, and increased devotion and worship. Ramadan is considered one of the holiest month of the year for Muslims. In Ramadan, Muslims commemorate the revelation of the Qur’an, and fast during the sunlit hours as a means of drawing closer to God and cultivating self-control, gratitude, and compassion for those less fortunate. Students from V to VIII very successfully conducted the virtual assemblies. They made Ramadan greetings charts, recited Quran, and many religious songs were sung.

Confidence Building Session

A first of its kind confidence building session was conducted within a group of 61 members, from class V to VIII. The programme was directed in such a manner that it took stress away from the staff and also imparted confidence among them. The staff was divided into 6 groups with a team leader, who led the group of 10 participants each. Various activities were included like: Ramp show, where in the participants introduced themselves using adjectives, helped the members to know each other better. Few stress buster games like Tic Tac Toe, Number Games and Making a Cone Blindfold were played with a competitive spirit between the groups, which were a delight to watch. Musical blockbusters with songs of 80s 90s and 20s were sung by every group with great fervour.

It was treat to eyes to see all the participating actively participating in all the programs, especially the ones who are shy. All the group leaders along with their teams were highly energetic and enthusiastically involved. The best thing about the program was the competitive spirit displayed by each group and every member.

Teachers were very elated, overjoyed and all praises for the event. The event was a win win for all. All the members are looking forward to the year full of growth and positivity, which would refresh their minds and souls.

Graduation day

The staff and the students of class VI celebrated the Graduation Day on 2nd and 3rd April, 2021. The day started with heartfelt greetings from Ms Shafaq Afshan- the Vice Principal of the school. The occasion was graced by our Academic Head Ms Monisa Khusheed, Ms Radifa, Ms Syed Sumaira, Mr Saleem, Mr Zeeshan, Ms Nazia Baqal and Ms Nazma Bhat.

The event started with the school prayer to seek the blessings of almighty, “Lab pe aati hai…” wherein all children stayed in their respective classes maintaining all the SOPs, which were decorated beautifully. The main focus of the ceremony was to appreciate the efforts of the parents and teachers for their unfailing support throughout this pandemic, in which the students were nurtured through wide variety of experiences..

All students received the graduation certificates, and shared their experiences of the previous class and the resolution for the upcoming session. The students were applauded for their success. The Vice Principal was spell bound with their mesmerizing performances. The students threw their attractive mortar boards up in the air to celebrate this grand event.

It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for the students and the teachers . The event ended with the group photograph, wherein class VI assembled on the stage (section-wise) along with their respective Homeroom teachers.

Mosaic Art Activity

"" Every form of art provides relaxation , enjoyment and peace of mind ' not only small kids but adults as well. "" 'Jackson pollack' The mosaic are activity was conducted on 17 March 2021 in the 7th and 8th period by all students .

Maximum participation was seen among the students and students actively participated in the activity with full zest and enthusiasm.

Interesting Mosaic art activity was conducted offline as well as online..Children enjoyed this different kind of medium in classes as well as at home. Children and their parents appreciated this step. It was observed few parents were also doing this activity with their kids. In spite of the fact that in such a short notice of information activity was successfully done and enjoyed by students.
