3 Winter Light Festival

Not only do you find great customer service and knowledgeable staff who genuinely care about helping you find the perfect gift for everyone you’re shopping for, but you’re also making a positive impact on the vitality of your local community.

Celebrate the season with light and festivities during the Winter Light Festival presented by Tompkins Trust Company. Interactive light sculptures and exhibits, silent discos, lively entertainment, outdoor hot cocoa & craft beverage bars, Santa, and the 11th Annual Chowder Cook-Off. Happening in Downtown Dec. 3-11, 2021. Learn more on page 16.

2 Wrap It Up Let Downtown help you with the holidays! The Downtown Visitor Center is offering free gift wrapping of any gifts purchased at local businesses in Downtown. Available Nov. 29th - Dec. 23rd, 10 am - 5 pm. Bring in your gifts and receipt of purchase and they will wrap them up for you!

Enjoy the bright holiday lights and festive window displays around the district. Take a bundled up stroll in the cool crisp air to see the festive array of lights and decorations downtown. From the twinkling light tree descending from the top of Dewitt Mall to the iridescent LED tree and snowflakes on the Ithaca Commons it’s an colorful winter wonderland worth the walk.

In Ithaca, Santa drops into town, quite literally! On Saturday, Dec. 11th, Santa will rappel onto the Ithaca Commons from the top of Center Ithaca. Check out the spectacle. Stick around to take selfies with Santa from his sleigh, and enjoy hot cocoa, holiday music and dance performances too!

Immersive, interactive, illuminated light sculptures will decorate downtown. Come shop, dine, and engage with these festive light displays all week long. Presented by Tompkins Trust Company.

FESTIVAL Schedule ThROUGHOut THE WEEK: December 3rd & 4th , 10th & 11th : Silent Disco & Live Entertainment Hot Cocoa Glow Bar Craft Beverage Ice Bar Dance the evening away at this illuminated outdoor dance party at the Bernie Milton Pavilion in Trolley Circle. Each night of disco will feature 3 different DJs. Dance your heart out while listening to music delivered to your ears on light up, bluetooth headsets. Also enjoy lightsaber competitions and lively performances throughout each evening.
