A tresspass enforcement request grants the EPD the ability to remove people from a premises and issue a bar/ban from coming onto the business property. Typically used to discourage after hours activity.

an individual is interested in finding shelter, call Aurora and provide a description of the individual. Their Homeless Street Outreach Team will check on them and coordinate an entry into a shelter or permanent housing.

MENTAL HEALTH & ADDICTION SUPPORT

If an individual is anxious, distraught, and/or upset, call the Southwestern Crisis Hotline and provide full details on the situation. The hotline is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District serves the property owners of Downtown Evansville by providing benefits and services beyond those provided by the City of Evansville. Our team travels within the EID District picking up litter, planting flowers, and sanitizing public spaces. Active Shooter Training

Available by Evansville’s Finest, the EID’s security contractor, for at cost based on size of business, number of employees, etc. Evansville’s Finest works exclusively with off-duty Evansville Police Department officers and Vanderburgh County Sheriff deputies. CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design)

Many crimes can be prevented through lighting, landscaping, or other changes to a building.

CPTED walk-throughs and audits are available through the EID’s security contractor, Evansville’s Finest.

CPTED (pronounced sep-ted) walk through surveys are provided at no cost to businesses and multi-family homes located within the EID boundaries (scan QR code to the right). Locations outside of EID boundaries are $200.

A full CPTED audit, with photos, printed actions plans and a report to file with business’s insurance provider is $450 within EID boundaries; $650 outside boundaries. Please contact Erik Nilssen to schedule.
