The Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) is a nonprofit that has been at the forefront of transforming the city of Detroit.

DDP creates and maintains awardwinning public spaces.

Summer 2019 in the Parks offers an action-packed lineup, from free summer concerts to weekly movies. DDP’s free seasonal programs reflect the diversity of Detroit’s neighborhoods and communities, features local and national talent and celebrates the spirit of the city!

DDP manages, operates and programs Downtown Detroit Parks and Public Spaces, in partnership with the City of Detroit, the Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone (BIZ) and the Detroit Parks and Recreation Department.

Each park is accessible by vehicle and public transit, including: DDOT, SMART, The People Mover, QLINE, and MoGo. For full list of MoGo bike stations visit MoGoDetroit.org.

The Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone (BIZ) Ambassadors are responsible for maintaining some of Detroit’s most iconic parks, such as Campus Martius Park, Capitol Park and Grand Circus Park, and for landscaping public space Downtown that totals the size of 15 football fields. BIZ Ambassadors also provide cleaning and hospitality services for Cullen Plaza, the Detroit RiverWalk, Mt. Elliot Park and Gabriel Richard Park.

BIZ Ambassadors, known by their distinctive yellow jackets and welcoming presence, have collected more than 1,700 tons of trash downtown since 2015. This tonnage is equal to the weight of nearly 500 mid-sized vehicles. Since its creation, the BIZ has kept Downtown safe, clean and inviting.
