ABOUT THE SCHOOL Founded in 1606, Downside is a co-educational, forward-thinking Catholic school. The School stands within 500 acres of magnificent Somerset countryside and is home to over 350 boarding and day pupils, aged between 11 and 18 years who attend from the United Kingdom and from all over the world.

EASTER REVISION (GCSE / A LEVEL) APRIL 2022 We are pleased to announce Downside GCSE and A Level revision courses commencing in April 2023. The courses will: • •

SWIMMING LESSONS

(ALL AGES) Children and Adult swimming lessons are provided by Swimcentral during various times throughout the week and take place in the Allen Baths. For more information and bookings, please visit www.swimcentral.org.uk. Advance booking is highly recommended due to high demand for places. Free parking available.

MULTI-ACTIVITY

(AGES 11-14) This year, we are also pleased to announce our new partnership with SuperCamps for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years. Their multiactivity camps are for those families looking for specialist course camps, available to book by day, or at a discounted rate if you book for the whole week. ADMISSIONS

At Downside, it is our pleasure to work with families to ensure that the admissions process is a personal journey, which supports you and your child every step of the way.

Prospective parents and children are encouraged to attend one of our Open Mornings, and see the entire school at work. Or, if you would prefer, we can arrange an individual on-site or virtual visit to the School on a normal working day to meet the Head, talk with current pupils and tour our extensive facilities and stunning grounds.
