DOWNEY MUNICIPAL CODES
The City of Downey is experiencing an increase in the use of electric motorcycles and electric bicycles on public roadways and parks throughout the city. Protecting the safety of the residents is a top priority for the Downey Police Department. The Downey Police Department has increased public safety in collaboration with the Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to educate and enforce the legal requirements for each bike. Failure to abide by the California Vehicle Code and the Downey Municipal Code may result in significant fines and vehicle towing.
