Introducing our Head of Co-Curricular Activities

Introducing Hannah Pilgrim who stepped into the role of Head of Co-Curricular Activities in 2019.

Hannah brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role. Having studied History and Sociology at university, she embarked on her journey at Downe House in May 2018. Her dedication to the school community has been evident from the start, as she served as a Housemistress in Hill for a year and fulfilled the role of Lower School Tutor.

Prior to joining Downe House, Hannah made her mark at Queen Anne’s School, where she excelled in marketing and fostered strong relationships with both alumnae and parents. Her professional background includes a stint at Skype, which allowed her to indulge her love for travel, with New York and San Francisco ranking among her favourite work destinations.

Outside of work, Hannah’s world revolves around her family, including her husband and two children, Evie

and Freddie, as well as their beloved dog, Elsie. Hannah herself has a variety of interests, whether it be skiing, cooking, or travelling, making her an excellent advocate for encouraging the girls to build new skills.

What truly sets Hannah apart is her deep connection to Downe House. With many friends who are alumnae, she holds a special appreciation for the school’s unparalleled pastoral care. Her commitment to enriching the boarding school experience is unwavering, as she constantly strives to introduce new and exciting activities that distinguish Downe House as a leader in education.
