Public examination results 2019 Our public examination results once again reflect the enormous commitment shown by the candidates as they worked towards their I/GCSEs, A Levels and Pre-U. They have achieved results of which they can be greatly proud, and which have given them a firm foundation on which to build the next stage of their academic journey, whether that is A Levels or higher education.

I am delighted that the Upper Sixth of 2019 leave us to take up places at top universities in the UK and across the world, including the US and Canada.

Over 17% will be going on to read STEM subjects with English, Economics, Politics, International Relations, Modern Languages and Art and Design also being very well represented.

With 85% of the grades at A Level and Pre-U being A* to B, and 61% of all grades being A*/A, there is every reason to praise the girls’ diligence and recognise the support that they had from both their teachers and their parents. The picture is very similar at GCSE with 63% of grades being at grade 9 or 8 (formerly A* and above) and 85% at grade 9 to 7 (formerly A to A* and above).

For the School, we are delighted that our results remain consistently high year on year, however, what is most important is not the statistics but the individual triumphs that the grades represent for each girl.
