Public examination results 2020 This has been an unprecedented and challenging year for our examination candidates and I could not be more proud of this exceptional group of young women who have so much to offer. There are many wonderful results that must be celebrated, all of which reflect work ethic and commitment to their studies, the way in which they worked collaboratively with their teachers and of course, the support of their families.

At I/GCSE, 72% of all grades achieved was at the very highest 9-8 (A*) grade, and 98% of all results graded 9-6 (A*-B), and ten girls whose exceptional dedication enabled them to achieve grade 9 (A*) in all of their subjects.

There are many personal triumphs behind the statistics and we congratulate all our students for their success. Following the extraordinary way in which grades were awarded, we were pleased that our overall success at A Level and Pre-U continued to increase again this year. Statistically, 47% of all grades awarded were at the very highest A* standard, 83% of all grades awarded were A*- A, and more than 96% of grades awarded were at A*- B. We were also thrilled that 45% of girls achieved three or more straight A*-A grades. Our girls will now go on to take up places at some of the world’s top universities here in the UK including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial and UCL, as well as at prestigious Russell Group and overseas universities.

I pay huge tribute to all these wonderful young people who can move on to the next stage of their educational journey with confidence.
