I have found that in an era of educational advancements and evolving pedagogical practices, Downe House has played a crucial role in supporting my own professional growth as a teacher. The School acknowledges the importance of nurturing its teachers by providing regular CPD opportunities throughout each term, focusing on a wide range of areas as diverse as neurodiversity and the integration of technology into classrooms.

Downe House also recognises the potential within its teaching staff and actively identifies and provides leadership opportunities. Personally, I have been able to take on new roles such as leading the school’s Elective Programme and becoming a mentor to colleagues in the early stages of their teaching career.
