Decor Trends As we ring in the new year our team is looking to see what is on the horizon for décor trends in 2024.

Sustainable home décor and artisanal touches are two of the top trends we forecast.

Sustainable home décor is about choosing pieces that use natural and/or recycled items, which in turn helps reduce your carbon footprint and gives your home character. Looking for older items that can be restored is also a great idea, and often adds something dynamic to your home that a big box store piece never could.

For artisanal elements, we also feel there is nothing better in your space than a one-of-a-kind treasure from an artist or craftsman to showcase in your home. Really it is a win-win, you get a beautiful piece, while in turn getting to support the local economy, which we think is a wonderful thing.

Recipe of the Month Country-Style Scrambled Eggs Cookie Ingredients 8 bacon strips, diced 2 cups diced red potatoes 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 8 large eggs 1/4 cup 2% milk 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1. In a 9-in. cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp.

Using a slotted spoon, remove to paper towels to drain. Cook and stir potatoes in drippings over medium heat for 12 minutes or until tender. Add onion and green pepper.

Cook and stir for 3-4 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Stir in bacon.

2. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, salt and pepper; add to skillet. Cook and stir until eggs are completely set. Sprinkle with cheese; stir it in or let stand until melted.
