Douglasville Parks and Recreation truly lived up to our motto this summer: "Fun Happens Here!"
We kicked things off Memorial Day weekend with Yoga
Fest a vibrant celebration of wellness, self-care, and community. With a wide range of sessions, it was the perfect way to launch into a season of fun and activity.
Next, our Girls in Sports Summit empowered and inspired the next generation by highlighting women thriving in sports-related careers and encouraging young girls to chase their passions.
Camp Funtastic kept the energy going all summer long, offering kids ages 5–12 a safe, inclusive space to learn, grow, and play Meanwhile, our Y2K Teen Camp gave teens a summer to remember with college tours, career exploration, and plenty of unforgettable moments In July, our Wind Down Wednesday series offered the community
a relaxing midweek break with live music and good vibes, while Summer Line Dance classes made sure everyone had the moves ready for their next cookout!
For our youngest athletes, the Next Generation
All-Stars Sports Series introduced kids ages 3–5 to the fundamentals of sports in a fun, engaging way. We also hosted an inclusive Adaptive Field Day for our Therapeutic
Recreation community, Screen on the Green movie nights for families, and Adult Kickball games for those who are still young at heart.
This summer has been packed with fun, and we’re just getting started Thank you for spending your summer with the City of Douglasville!
