Welcome to our online exhibition for 2019.

It’s been another busy year for us, as we make pots alongside tending to our young family. There have been many long days, working late in to the night when the babies are sleeping, to bring this body of work to fruition.

We are delighted with the results. A little more time to add things to the range would have been great, but that is ever the way and we would never compromise quality in pursuit of quantity.

The exhibition contains a mixture of wood fired and electric fired work.

Firing in the electric kiln provides bright, colourful glaze finishes, rich and glassy. Some look good enough to eat, like shiny toffee apples.

Wood fired pots are generally darker in tone and show evidence of the naked flame having engulfed their surface. The materials are pushed to the limit of their firing range, telling a tale of the interaction with fire, creating interesting texture to the glaze and clay body.

These pots are harder to display in photographs, as opposing aspects of the pot may have reacted differently to the flames and atmosphere in the kiln chamber. We have included images of both sides of some of the pieces to demonstrate these pleasures of the wood fire phenomenon.

The online version of this catalogue will allow you to zoom in and as the images are shot at such high resolution, you will be able to see the intricate characteristics of the glazes and the slips beneath them.

We will allocate pieces strictly in order that the emails arrive and update the catalogue shortly at regular intervals after sales are confirmed.

Postage will be at cost. We try to use as many recycled materials for packaging as possible. We can acquire a quote prior to purchase for overseas buyers, as the rates are much more variable than within the UK and we aim to provide the best value at time of dispatch.

For UK delivery use the initial after the item price as a guide to postage costs: A: £8 B: £13 C: £15 D: £19 Payment can be taken by cheque (in Sterling), Direct Bank Transfer or Paypal. We will send the pots out as soon as we are able to.

Visitors are welcome to come and view the pots at the workshop, just drop us a line to arrange a mutually convenient time.

In order to get the high gloss finish on our pots we like to glaze thickly. Our glazes are fluid so on occasion we will grind back excess glaze from the foot of the pot to ensure that the piece will sit properly on a flat surface. We only grind the glaze however, not the body of the pot.

Should you be unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you may send the piece back and we will offer a refund upon safe return of the work. In this instance, postage costs are covered by the purchaser and we would ask if you contact us before returning any pieces. Of course we hope that this won’t happen and that you will be delighted with your new purchase.
