We don’t put our name on anything we’re not proud of, but some collections we just downright enjoy. This is one of those.
The underlying essence of Rhinestone Suits & Cowboy Boots is empowerment. Coming on the heels of a collection celebrating being colorful and confident, the Summer 2025 collection is upping the ante and daring you to embrace your boldest, baddest self – with a bit of bling. We’re channeling strong ‘60s-era silhouettes, unprecedented animal print leathers, and a whole lot of sparkle and shine. It’s got nods to Nudie Cohn, a cool collab with Casanova Hats, and a chic little chaparral that we just can’t quit. The palette is all-encompassing, from pale pinks to strong saturated greens to classic bold blacks; analogous orange and red to contrasting combos that mimic neon lights. This collection is designed to make you feel comfortable pushing your own envelope – fun, yet fierce, and absolutely free to be YOU.
This year, our summer romance is with rhinestones.
We’re also throwing a wink to colorful crystals and some shimmery snakeskin leather, but the point is, gals, that we’re not shying away from the shine this season. We’re taking that Nudieinspired look into a new era. We’re collaborating with Casanova Hats on some custom crystalencrusted creations. We’re putting details of dazzle on everything from pearl snap dresses to cotton crop-tops. The way we see it, there is nothing that doesn’t deserve even the most subtle sparkle.
Because here’s the thing: sometimes being bold works from the outside in. Sometimes all it takes is dressing a little shinier than you feel to bring that radiance right back out. Sometimes a little sparkle is a superpower – capture their attention, then command it.
The spotlight is yours this summer, shine in it.

It’s adorable, it’s everywhere, and it’s actually quite tricky to perfect.
Chain stitching is the embellishment that’s currently taking the Western world by storm. This art form is nothing new; in fact, it’s very, very old – like ancient, we’re talking BC – and like all things fashion, it has ebbed and flowed in popularity over the years. The technique is essentially what the name implies, looped stitches that form a chain-like pattern, which unlike cross stitching’s x-squares, lends itself to curves and continuous lines. The fluid intricacy allows it to more accurately imitate drawing in embroidery form, as exemplified in the Wagoneer pieces.
It also makes it the ideal stitch for our most recent obsession: cursive customizations. And we’re certainly not alone – chain-stitched script is all the rage on everything from bags to bandanas, on everyone from cowboys to college girls. But just so you know, it looks a lot more effortless than it is. Even seasoned seamstresses struggle with it. It’s kind of like learning to back a trailer; you’ve got to get a feel for the inverse of your instincts, but once you’ve perfected it, it’s sure a thing of beauty to behold.
Wear what you like and you’ll like what you wear. We’ve always been on the side of pushing the envelope a little when it comes building a look. It’s not even so much about breaking the so-called rules (ladies, wear white whenever you want, who cares), it’s about pushing your own comfort zone, too. Rock a new color with confidence of the queen. Pair a casual cotton tee with showstopping leather fringe shorts just because it feels good. Wear all the turquoise you can carry because you like the jangle of a bangle. Daring is what makes the difference between ordinary and unforgettable. (And no, you’re not “too” ANYTHING to pull it off.)
Settle in for the style story behind this cheeky little chaparral.
It all started one day in the quaint little antique town of Round Top, Texas, where (as most of you know) we’ve been spending quite a lot of our time lately. Now, no matter the mission we’re on or the task at hand, Cheryl always has one eye out for inspiration. Well, if you’re familiar with Round Top, you know that on a good day, you can find just about anything you’re looking for and a whole lot of things you didn’t even know you wanted. Like a sculpture of chaparral. Cheryl spotted it and immediately thought to herself, “That sure would make a cute boot.” So, she designed it into one, in a pretty pale pink, with the roadrunner’s tail feathers extending up the pull tabs for that little something extra. It’s as cute as it sounds (you can find it back on page 45). And wouldn’t ya know, that rascally little roadrunner just kept skittering about in her mind’s eye until it found its way on to a jacket. And a tee, and a poncho, and a purse. (Which, insider fun fact, isn’t the normal order of things; usually an image starts on a jacket and finds its way down to the boot!)
“Pink is a gentle reminder to embrace your femininity fearlessly.”
- Daniel Williams
“I want to create a little chaos and make people’s heads turn.”
- Scott Caan
While we’re embracing bling in a big way this season, your outfit doesn’t necessarily have to sparkle for it to shine.
The key to stealing the spotlight is standing out. This collection comes at that concept from every angle, including animal-printed leather. We doubled down by doing leopard in a kelly green, and then really went all in with some showstopping silhouettes and leather lacing. While cheetah isn’t entirely in line with the era, we incorporated it into the overall Nudie-suit aesthetic by designing it in a tailored notch-lapel jacket that pairs perfectly with the sleek fit-andflare pant – it’s beyond a power suit, it’s a whole power move. If you’re looking for a little more jaw-dropping, we also went racy with a lace-up cropped corset top. Or you can always embrace your slightly more romantic wild side with the chic, sexy silk slip dress iteration. After all, as Nudie Cohn famously said, “It’s better to be looked over than overlooked.”

If the vibe of these chic sparkly suits feels familiar, it should. The inspiration stems from a lifelong adoration of Nudie Cohn’s avantgarde aesthetic that revolutionized the way the Western world thought of suits.
Growing up, we spent countless hours watching The Porter Wagoner Show, admiring the talent and envying the celebrities’ style, particularly in awe of Porter’s elaborate suits. Years later, when we really started to foster our fascination with fashion, we learned there was essentially one creative genius behind all the eye-catching ensembles donned by everyone from Elvis Presley to Elton John – Nudie Cohn. He was an inimitable force in American fashion though he has influenced countless designers for decades, including us. As we concepted this collection that feels a little bit retro and rebellious, and channels his peak era, it seemed fitting to pay homage to the OG of glitz and glamour with some elaborate, embellished suits of our own.
Cheers to an absolute icon – we’re all sparkling on in his honor.
“I have absolutely no interest in being somebody else’s muse. I am not a muse. I am the somebody.”
- Taylor Jenkins Reid
In a literal sense, the butterfly effect is a term for the phenomenon theory that a butterfly can flap its wings and the resonating results can cause a tidal wave on the other side of the world.
Our interpretation is a little less serious – and a lot more stylish – but it is a representation of one little thing that had a resounding effect on us: mama’s butterfly boots.
They came from Houston’s illustrious Cutter Bill’s Western World, so to us, they were the epitome of en vogue and the height of luxury. Butterflies were ever-present in western apparel and rodeo motifs in that era, from prints on shirts to embellishments and accessories, including the tooling on those iconic moniker belts. And here, our own mama had a pair of flashy butterfly boots from the fanciest fashion house we knew of at the time. They were iconic in our eyes; Audrey wore them for a little while (mama’s little foot was too small for the rest of us) and we actually still have them to this day. Suffice it to say, they had an indelible impact on us, and that fond little memory is spreading its wings this season.
Sometimes the statement you want your accessories to make is that you don’t take yourself too seriously.
You ever fall in love with something just for the fun of it? Not because it’s exquisite or expensive, but simply because you can’t help but smile when you look at it? That’s the story of our little love affair with enamel buckles. They’re just the right amount of cowgirl-kitschy, and of the era that inspired this collection, which means their unmistakable greens are going to go really well with all these looks. They’re mostly pewter-based and embellished with enamel – things like a classic rodeo scene or some ‘60s-style florals –and if they’re adorned with any sort of stone, it’s most likely going to be a colorful costume gem or rhinestone. They’re not your heirloom investment pieces, but they’re in shockingly high demand (seriously, we can hardly keep them in stock). Compliments don’t have to cost much, and fashion was meant to be fun!
Nothing says summer like a good ol’ fashioned road trip. Whether you’re headed across the country, down to the coast, or just to a quaint little town like Yoakum, Texas (wink-wink), few things fill the soul quite like it.
This collection gives us that fun, playful, footloose-and-fancy-free feeling. The one that says, “Go ahead, rent the convertible and hit the open road!” Go glamping with your girlfriends. Make some memories in a retro roadside motel. Forget about your 9-5 in a Dolly Parton-themed B&B. (Or, ya know, catch some z’s in a colorful custom casita!) The destination doesn’t matter as much as the journey, the company, and of course, the playlist.
