Welcome to the 2023-2024 Girl Scout Year! For this year’s Program Guide, in addition to the Girl Experience programming, we’ve added the schedule of adult learning and training opportunities for the year. This will serve as a helpful resource for leaders and Girl Scout families as they plan out their year and get the required trainings for troop activities and deliver a unique Girl Scout Experience.
The 2023-2024 schedule features an expanded number of in-person programming to be held at GSHH’s camps and properties throughout the council’s seven-county footprint. Girl Experience programming offers fun and enriching programs that will give Girl Scouts an opportunity to sharpen their leadership skills, practice their passions, and learn about the world around them.
Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson, Inc. designs it’s Girl Experience programs so that they can be completed and enjoyed with a troop, Service Unit, or individually for a Girl Scout and an adult family member. There is no one way to be a Girl Scout and GSHH’s programming allows Girl Scouts to develop their leadership skills and support their interests along the four main pillars of Girl Scouting:
• Science, Technology, Engineering, and Match (STEM)
• Outdoors
• Life Skills
• Entrepreneurship
We are so excited to see you all at our programs and training courses throughout the year as we work together to build girls of Courage, Confidence, and Character who will make the world a better place.
Make sure to keep checking the events calendar on our website www.girlscoutshh.org/calendar as we will be adding programs throughout the year!
Yours in Girl Scouting, Helen Wronski
Interim CEO, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson, Inc.
GSHH takes the guesswork out of planning activities! Girls can sign up for programs with their troop, as an individual who is part of a troop but wants to explore her own interests, or as an independently registered Girl Scout (Juliette).
The Girl Experience Program Guide contains:
q A list of the scheduled programs by date with age level indicators.
q Description of programs with locations, registration fees, and anything else your girls will need for their programs.
q A listing of webinars and resources for Girl Scouts working toward their Highest Awards (Gold, Silver, and Bronze)
*Programs are subject to change in the event of low registration numbers, severe weather, or scheduling conflicts.

Your Girl Scout can fund her Girl Scout year through participating in GSHH’s product sales programs, the fall Nuts and Mags program, and the famous Girl Scout Cookie Program in late winter/early spring. The proceeds from these programs stay local, funding council programs and assistance to Girl Scouts, and provides direct funding to Girl Scout troops in individual Girl Scouts. These funds can be used for uniforms, program fees, membership renewal, and even summer camp!
“NUTS+MAGS” is a council-sponsored product sale program to family and friends of magazines, nuts, and candy. The 2023 sale will run from September 25th-October 27th. The online portion of the sale will continue through December 11th. Program helps girls to develop five skills they’ll use throughout their lives, including goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
Girls also learn online business skills by setting up their own personalized online sales sites, promoting it to family and friends, and tracking their goals online.
We’re Unboxing the Future during the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Season. Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to learn five essential skills as they provide the iconic lineup of Girl Scout Cookies including:
• Goal Setting
• Decision Making
• Money Management
• People Skills
• Business Ethics
