The Role As the Lead Youth Physiotherapist, you will oversee the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries for our youth players. Working closely with the coaching staff of all age groups the lead physio is first point of call for our Sunday provision ensuring player welfare and safe return-to-play protocols are followed.

Duties & Responsibilities: Overall Responsibilities Provide high-quality physiotherapy care to youth players.

Maintain accurate medical records and player confidentiality.

Liaise with medical professionals, such as GPs, paramedics, psychologists, and orthopaedic consultants, when required.

Ensure medical supplies, including the defibrillator, are stocked and in-date.

Training Day Responsibilities: (Tuesday Clinics) Assess and diagnose injuries occured on Sundays and support rehabilitation planning.

Develop and implement individual treatment plans, incorporating advice, manual therapy and taping as needed.

Set realistic recovery timelines and monitor progress.

Maintain accurate records of injuries and rehabilitation progress using Trello or equivalent software.

Collaborate with coaching staff Match Day Responsibilities: (Sundays) Responsible for Rota management of our Sunday Youth Rugby Physion provision which will cover: Deliver pitch-side first aid and emergency care as needed.

Support injured players during their return-to-play process.

EMPLOYMENT PACK The Person Experience Essential: Previous experience in pitch-side first aid.

Experience working with youth athletes or in a similar sports setting.

Desirable: Experience in managing various first aid stakeholders across multiple teams.

Qualifications Essential: Degree or working towards Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy.

Recognised Pitch side Qualification.

Valid and up-to-date DBS check.

Desirable: Additional qualifications in sports injury management or rehabilitation.

Skills Essential: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

Basic proficiency in digital tools and platforms for managing treatment plans and reporting.

Desirable: Advanced skills in using digital platforms like Trello and Return to Play Concussion Software.
