TheRole
AstheLeadYouthPhysiotherapist,youwilloverseetheassessment,treatment,and rehabilitationofinjuriesforouryouthplayers Workingcloselywiththecoachingstaff ofallagegroupstheleadphysioisfirstpointofcallforourSundayprovisionensuring playerwelfareandsafereturn-to-playprotocolsarefollowed.
Duties&Responsibilities:
OverallResponsibilities
Providehigh-qualityphysiotherapycaretoyouthplayers. Maintainaccuratemedicalrecordsandplayerconfidentiality.
Liaisewithmedicalprofessionals,suchasGPs,paramedics,psychologists,and orthopaedicconsultants,whenrequired. Ensuremedicalsupplies,includingthedefibrillator,arestockedandin-date.
TrainingDayResponsibilities:(TuesdayClinics)
AssessanddiagnoseinjuriesoccuredonSundaysandsupportrehabilitation planning.
Developandimplementindividualtreatmentplans,incorporatingadvice,manual therapyandtapingasneeded.
Setrealisticrecoverytimelinesandmonitorprogress.
MaintainaccuraterecordsofinjuriesandrehabilitationprogressusingTrelloor equivalentsoftware.
Collaboratewithcoachingstaff
MatchDayResponsibilities:(Sundays)
ResponsibleforRotamanagementofourSundayYouthRugbyPhysionprovision whichwillcover:
Deliverpitch-sidefirstaidandemergencycareasneeded Supportinjuredplayersduringtheirreturn-to-playprocess.
ThePerson Experience
Essential: Previousexperienceinpitch-sidefirstaid. Experienceworkingwithyouthathletesorinasimilarsportssetting.
Desirable: Experienceinmanagingvariousfirstaidstakeholdersacrossmultipleteams.
Qualifications
Essential: DegreeorworkingtowardsPhysiotherapyorSportsTherapy. RecognisedPitchsideQualification. Validandup-to-dateDBScheck.
Desirable: Additionalqualificationsinsportsinjurymanagementorrehabilitation.
Skills
Essential: Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskills. Strongorganisationalskillswithattentiontodetail. Basicproficiencyindigitaltoolsandplatformsformanagingtreatmentplans andreporting.
Desirable: AdvancedskillsinusingdigitalplatformslikeTrelloandReturntoPlay ConcussionSoftware.
