A Dorking ‘Welcome’

A Message from Dorking RFC Director of Rugby

Welcome to the second Dorking RFC 7s tournament. It’s incredible that a year has passed since the inaugural tournament and another league season has come and gone.

A warm welcome to all our visitors today. Whether you are playing, supporting, managing, or simply just popping in, we hope you have a fantastic day.

When the plans for a 7s tournament for our centenary season first came to fruition, we always hoped it would become our legacy event and something that would become a staple of the DRFC calendar. So, it’s fantastic to see so many returning teams from last year, and also to welcome some new friends.

Once again, we’re joined today by the remaining Youth and Mini parents and players who have enjoyed the DorKamp festival, making this, I’m sure, both a memorable and exhausting weekend for many! Keep an eye out also for the returning senior Dorking players, who have been enjoying a well-earned end of season tour this weekend, before parachuting in for the second half of the day.

Hope you all have an excellent day today and, as I always say on league match days, rugby is a sport which we are here to enjoy. Let’s do it with respect, like proper rugby enthusiasts, and enjoy everything rugby has to offer.

Have Fun

Your DoR,
