The Doosan Group began in 1896 as a consumer products company and has grown to a global enterprise that has annual revenue of over $22 billion, 38,000 employees and operations in 38 countries worldwide.

factories are: Boiler, Material Handling Systems, Water and Structural Steel. The complex covers 100 hectares and has its own purpose built and dedicated port. The four factories have a total of 251,507 square meters of enclosed space.

Doosan Vina is a one of a kind, state of the art facility located in Central Vietnam in the Dung Quat Economic Zone of Quang Ngai Province. The facility is staffed with the best technicians and engineers and equipped with the latest technology and machinery.

Boiler

Look inside any thermal power plant and you’ll find a boiler. Whether the raw energy used comes from gas or coal or nuclear reaction, inside the plant you will find a boiler hard at work methodically converting one source of energy into steam to drive turbines that spin a generator to produce electricity for people the world over. And with a high tech, high efficiency, Boiler from Doosan Vina, the energy is cost effective and friendly.

A Boiler is considered the heart of a thermal power plant and at Doosan Vina’s Boiler Shop, the power plant boilers they’ve produced are adding 11,180 MW of electricity to the world’s grid.

Doosan Vina’s boilers are now producing electricity in India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. In Vietnam our boilers are at work at the Mong Duong II power plant and also are, or soon will be, generating electricity at Vinh Tan IV, Vinh Tan IV Extension and Song Hau I power plants. These four power plants will add a total of 4,200 MW to Vietnam’s grid!

Water

Water everywhere but not a drop to drink! Why would anyone on a planet that is nearly 75% covered by water ever say that? The answer of course is because most of that water is salty seawater and undrinkable. Today because of our ever increasing urbanization and growing demand for fresh water a solution to meet demand had to be found and the engineers and technicians at Doosan have designed and built one of the world’s most technologically advanced pieces of equipment that turns that salty ocean water into fresh potable water for our thirsty planet.

One of Doosan’s desalination plants stands over three stories tall, has a footprint nearly the size of a football pitch (16m high, 25m wide, 125m long) and weighs over 4,500 tons. One of these massive units can produce 92 million liters of fresh water per day and when placed in tandem; like the eight Doosan made for Raz Al Khair, Saudi Arabia, over two million people now have enough water for their daily needs.

CSR

Since Doosan Vina broke ground and began construction in 2007 the company has carried out an extensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

To date, Doosan Vina has contributed over $6.7 million to fund it’s CSR activities. Some of the programs are an annual medical service and an active scholarship program for Vietnamese university students across country. The awarded scholarships now exceed $250,000.

Additionally Doosan Vina has mobilized to repair roads and bridges; donated over $150,000 in medical equipment to local hospitals, built houses for the homeless, supported victims of floods/typhoons and much, much more.

One mega CSR project involved the donation of a near $1 million desalination plant and generators for Vietnam's An Binh Island.

These and our other CSR activities have earned the company several national and international awards for its commitment to being a good neighbor and helping those in need.

Experience & Achievements Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam or Doosan Vina is a $300 million industrial complex built on 100 hectares on the coast of Central Vietnam’s Quang Ngai Province.

It serves as the company’s forward strategic operations base. The company opened in 2009 and specializes in the manufacture of: - Power plant equipment to light the way - Cargo container cranes that drive global commerce - Desalination plants to quench the thirst of millions - High tech structural steel for infrastructure/industry Doosan Vina currently provides jobs and regular income for 2,000 employees and 2,000 subcontractors.

Our first products were shipped in February of 2009, less than three years after our investment certificate was granted.

Today Doosan Vina has completed 197 projects that are now hard at work in 31 countries around the world.

In total the “Made in Vietnam” equipment produced by Doosan Vina weighs in at an impressive 350,000 tons.

At Doosan Vina’s Boiler Shop, the power plant boilers they’ve produced are adding 11,180 MW of electricity to the world’s grid. efficiently and quickly load and unload the standard cargo containers with ease. Our crane clients are global leaders and some names you may recognize are PSA in Singapore; JNPT in India; Samarinda of Indonesia and in Vietnam, Saigon New Port, the Port of Da Nang and the Port of the Nghi Son Refinery.

Over at the Water Shop Doosan Vina proudly includes the UAE, Chile and Saudi Arabia as desalination customers.

The desalination plants produced at Doosan Vina are now producing nearly a billion liters of water per day and satisfying the daily needs of 2.5 million people. Each of the nine desalination plants produced by the Water shop is the size of a football pitch, weighs 4,500 tons, is as tall as a 3-storey building and can produce 92 million liters of potable water per day.

Engineers are at the core of our operations and today represent nearly 20% of the workforce. That is planned to double to 40% in the next couple years. Most of the remaining workforce are skilled and highly trained technicians who fabricate and manufacture our high tech products for Power, Water and Port Logistics.
