The last few months have exposed the gaping hole in our so-called democracy. The ruling classes have revealed their subordination not to the electorate but to the archaic and feudal system of monarchy. A whole flange of supposedly sentient beings have stood by watching the political system fail and in a circular deceipt eat and regurgitate itself in another zombie body. Many have queued for hours and days for a glimpse of the box allegedly containing relics of the recently beatified Saint Elizabeth of Saxe-Coburg Gotha and the pimp and circumstantial displayed by the media must surely make any self-respecting republican vomit.

As we crash into yet another dystopian economic downturn let us consider why continued public apathy to political and corporate greed and corruption is only surpassed by the human love of being trodden underfoot.
