Donhead Preparatory school
HOUSE SYSTEM
A system of three Houses operates in the school:
Campion (Yellow)
Loyola (Red)
Xavier (Green)
Every Child is allocated a House; Xavier, Campion or Loyola, which they will remain in during their time at Donhead. Siblings are kept together in the same house.
Pupils have Inter-House matches, competitions and meetings and soon identify, often very strongly, with their House and the sense of belonging which it brings.

Each House has:
a House Leader (who is a member of staff)
a House Captain and Deputy House Captain(s) who are children elected in Year 6 Elements and part of the Student Leadership Team
a chosen annual charity
a chosen annual charity fundraising event
campion house
Campion House is named after St Edmund Campion, a London schoolboy a school teacher and a Jesuit priest.
Loyola House
Loyola House is named after St Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. A missionary, known for his educational, and charitable works.
Xavier house
Xavier House is named after St Francis Xavier, he is known for his missionary work.
House points
House Points (called ‘Coupons’ at Donhead) are awarded for good performance and effort in all areas of School life.
At the end of term all Coupons are counted and the winning House is given a House Tea.
In addition, Inter-House sport competitions are held in Rugby, Football, Cross-Country, Cricket and Athletics.
An annual Inter-House Music Competition is held each March and House Sports Day is held each June.

Campion Crazy Hair Day was held in November 2024 and raised money for their chosen charity RSPCA.
Loyola House dress as a teacher day
Loyola Dress as a Teacher Day was held in April 2025 and raised money for their chosen charity Save the Rhino.
Xavier House

Xavier Pyjama Day was held in May 2025 and raised money for their chosen charity Guide Dogs for the Blind.
