He thanks Doherty for sending Doherty's publication, "Who Will be the Next President, Hoover or Roosevelt?". He adds "I appreciate the prophecy in the book and hope I may live up to the ideals with which you credit me." Along with the letter is a copy of the 4-page pamphlet written by Daniel Doherty. The book discusses who will be elected any why. Doherty concludes Roosevelt will be elected.
