DB Tarlac Holds Successful Serviam
16 Leadership Camp in Ilocos Sur
From July 1-4, 2024, Don Bosco Tarlac conducted the SERVIAM 16 Leadership Camp at Cabangtalan Beach Resort in Sinait, Ilocos Sur.
Themed "SAKBAY: Continue Living the Dream," the camp gathered diverse student leaders and teachers to enhance their leadership skills and foster Bosconian camaraderie. The program included interactive workshops, team-building activities, and reflective sessions to strengthen community and leadership potential. Participants also toured cultural heritage churches in Ilocos Sur, guided by Fr. Edwin L. Ulanday, SDB. The camp successfully prepared these leaders for innovative leadership in the upcoming academic year, coinciding with the expansion of Don Bosco Tarlac's second campus at Cresendo.

Tuloy Foundation’s "Seussical"
Impresses
at RCBC Theater
On July 20 and 21, the Tuloy Foundation’s Tuloy Theater, in collaboration with the Rude Mechanicals Theater, successfully staged “Seussical (Theatre for Young Audiences version)” at the RCBC Theater in Makati. Directed by Deana Aquino and Joonee Garcia, the production featured students and alumni of Tuloy alongside students from private schools in the South Metro Area, supported by an 11piece live band and guest artist Pinky Marquez. The show, based on Dr. Seuss's works, received high praise for the professionalism and polish of its young cast. This marks the fifth full-length musical by Tuloy Theater, aimed at fostering community ties and developing young talents in the Performing Arts.

Parañaque City, July 24, 2024 - The Most Reverend Jesse E. Mercado, DD, Bishop of Parañaque, installed Rev. Fr. Regulus M. Porlucas, SDB, as the new parish priest of the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians. The ceremony took place at 6:00 PM, marking a new chapter for the parish community.

Excel at Palarong Pambansa
Jacob Maceson D. Alvarez and Marc Nathan Ayson from Don Bosco
Technical Institute Makati achieved outstanding results at the Palarong Pambansa, held from July 11 to 15 in Cebu. Alvarez secured gold medals in the Team All Around, Individual All Around, Pommel Horse, Vault, and Floor Exercise events, along with a silver in the Horizontal Bar. Ayson won gold in the Horizontal Bar, silver in the Individual All Around and Pommel Horse, and bronze in the Vault. Their dedication and talent have brought pride to their school and community, marking a significant achievement in their athletic careers.

Five Nationalities United in Diaconate Ordination
Parañaque City, July 27, 2024 - Archbishop Francesco Panfilo, SDB, D.D., ordained five new deacons at the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians. The deacons are Rev. Maeko Diaz, SDB (Philippines), Rev. Francisco Kerubim, SDB (Indonesia), Rev. Francis Zau Din, SDB (Myanmar), Rev. John Bosco Somony Kong, SDB (Cambodia), and Rev. Paschal Uzozie, MMT (Nigeria).
The ceremony's theme, "Serve one another, humbly in love" (Gal. 5:13), emphasized commitment, humility, prayer, and seeking Mary's guidance. A celebratory lunch and program followed, showcasing performances by various communities.
Rua Camp held in Lian, Batangas
Last July 27-29, 2024, 10 young people who are set to start their formation journey participated in the RUA Camp held at Don Bosco Lian Beach House. Through the activities prepared for them, they go to share parts of themselves to their companions, formed memories and bonds of friendships meant to last for a long time.
