Thesis semester) 2020

The

project deals with airport planning and design (greenfield airport) in a fluid relation with reference to the future aspects. The airport has a total site area of 5000ha. And hence 1850ha. Area is taken to plan and design.

Latitude : 28010'09.87”N Longitude : 77038'20.41”E

CONCEPT: The inspiration for airport is derived from ‘NATIONALISM’. Side by side with aircraft, airport also have wings and can be interpreted as ‘wings of freedom’.

As an element of peacock which is India’s national bird and free as wind, a ‘FEATHER OF PEOCOCK’ is extracted to shape the airport.

The final form of the airport define freedom of space, emphasis, nation’s crown. An abstract is taken out from peacock’s feather while having ‘FLUIDITY’ as a weapon.

TOP SKIN The outer skin of form of airport is made by aluminum composite with reflective surface and a greenish color.

Aluminum composite is such made that it will reflect but has less gloss so that it should not sparkle.

As the surroundings change such as clouds, sun’s position, and seasons the color and shape of the skin changes due to reflective nature and that same will act as fluidity.

The form shows kinetic nature in eyes while sustaining its physical form.

(House on EDGE) Proposed Project 2020

With an idea in mind to designed a cozy home which can be serve as both, weekend house or a couples home as well as provide a reviving environment, EDGE is been made.

To meet the expectations of client as to designed a house in midst of a forest for spending one’s retirement life in countryside, EDGE is designed. With a glass façade towards the river which shows full view from dawn to sunset and semitransparent from sides.

The site looks like an edge of the world and hence house is designed in a way that it should enhance ‘edges’.

03 Technical University Academic Design (9th semester) 2019

The

main objective is to design a technical university campus which will accommodate undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses like B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech and M.Arch.

Facilities like canteen, central library, sports complex, and health care are provided for students, staff and authorities.

Hostels are provided for students for boys as well as girls.

Individual and joint residential units are given for staff members and are divided in categories. A complex is also proposed which will provide daily-need items for residents.

BIO DIVERSITY PARK is one of the project for developing gardens and greenery for the people in bhilai and ‘Oxygen Park’ is one of them. It is designed for large number of social gathering and it will be also used as a work-out space for nearby residence. Bio diversity park is built at the end of the township, for which variety of birds and plant species will be brought in this park, for encouraging green society and to beautify the site.

Oxygen Park is a located in South West of Bhilai. It is 3.7km from Durg railway station and it is easily accessible by local residence. The site is connected to Durg & Bhilai by Utai Road. The site is adjoining with the public housing of Hudco & Talpuri colony. The total site area is 47.5 acre. Site is surrounded by 91 acre of water bodies around them. The total population reside on this area is 1,253,434(approx.) people.

Infront of the site, bus station is 20m against the entrance and gas station is 72m away to the left side on the same phase.

cozy home of just two rooms with his parents and a elder brother. He wanted to have a two bedroom, kitchen, toilet and living space with minimalistic façade design for his family of four members for his new home. The budget is very tight and everything on design should be put functionally.

Concept : The front façade of the house is on south side which comes with its own benefits and problems. Have to keep façade minimalistic and in the same time keep the intense heat of summer away. But sun also plays a vital role in designing façade, due to sun’s direct light it gives a chance to play with shadows and white color reflects most of the direct light of summer sun.
