into the October Break, we’d like to
celebrate some of the outstanding
pupil sporting achievements from the
past month.

Programme, along with further
highlights of pupil success.

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR TALENTED ATHLETE PROGRAMME
The Talented Athlete Programme at Dollar Academy is designed to support our most dedicated and high-performing student-athletes. The programme helps them balance the demands of training and competition with their academic commitments, enabling each individual to reach their full potential on the field, in the classroom and in their personal lives.
Students selected for the Talented Athlete Programme will benefit from a range of tailored support designed to enhance their development, both as athletes and as young people.
What A programme of specialist workshops covering key aspects of performance sport, delivered alongside one-to-one mentoring to provide personalised support for each athlete.
Why
To enable Dollar Academy pupils to achieve holistic success — balancing personal growth, academic achievement, and sporting excellence.
Who
Pupils who consistently represent Scotland or Great Britain at national and international level.

PUPIL SUCCESS
DOLLAR SKI TEAMS - SKIING
Well done to our pupils who competed in the SSSA Dual Slalom who flew
through to the finals in both the S1-3 and senior categories, finishing with
golds in both! Congratulations to the S1-3 team: Alexander, Freya, Thomas
(Form II) and Ranald (Form I) and to our senior team Lexi (Form VI), Seb, Craig (Form IV) and Robert (Form II).
RAPHAEL (FORM VI) - CYCLING
Well done to Raphael, who won the Scottish Junior Hill Climb
Championships!
JUNIOR 2 GIRLS - HOCKEY
The J2A Team had a very successful trip to the Dundee High School's P7
Tournament. They won 4 games and drew 1 in the round robin style
tournament. They ended up winning the tournament, based on goal
difference with an impressive 28 goals scored and only 1 goal conceded.
Well done Lara, Erin, Grace, Ayaka, Luisa, Florence, Matilda, Ivy, Emma, Annie and Honor.

LUISA (JUNIOR 2) - GYMNASTICS
Well done to Luisa, who placed 1 on bars, 3 on vault and 12 overall at the Scottish Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Copper Competition! st rd th
ANNA (FORM III) - TENNIS
Well done to Anna, who won the U14 Scottish Junior Tennis Championship!
Anna was also recently a finalist in the Play Your Way to Wimbledon 2025 competition.
MURRIN (FORM II) - WEIGHTLIFTING
Well done to Murrin, who competed in the Scottish Juniors and Under 23's in Arbroath - setting a new Scottish U14 record for Clean and Jerk at 39kg!
RUARIDH AND CAMERON (FORM VI) - RUGBY
Well done to two of our 1 XV players, Cameron and Ruaridh, who have been selected for the ‘Talent Pathway’ programmes! Cameron has been seleced for the District Talent Pathway, and Ruaridh has been selected for the National Talent Pathway. st

MAGNUS (FORM III) AND THOMAS (FORM II) - TRIATHLON Well done to Imogen, who placed 1 at the Alnwick Ford International Horse Trials competing in 80cm, Open BE class!





PUPIL SUCCESS
VARIOUS PUPILS - RUNNING
Well done to all of our pupils who participated in the Scottish Schools Road
Race. Jessica (Form VI), Toby (Form III), Alice (Form I), and Annie (Junior 2)
all finished in the top 15 for their age category. Excellent performances from
everyone that competed.
EUAN (FORM V) - SQUASH
Euan has been playing squash since the age of four, representing Bridge of Allan and Dollar Squash Clubs, and currently plays for the Crieff and District
Team, helping Dollar reach their first competition final this season. Since
January 2025, he has been volunteering as a coach at Dollar and is working
towards his Level 1 qualification to support the local squash community.
LUCY (FORM IV) - CYCLING
Well done to Lucy, who won Silver at the Scottish Hill Climb Championships!
