Una bottega perfettamente ordinata, piena di luce, dove oltre al banco di lavoro ci sono gli scaffali con i modelli e le forme dei clienti ben in vista, quasi fosse una libreria. Saskia lavora proprio al centro della bottega, la si può guardare dalla vetrina. Una passione per le scarpe, soprattutto maschili, che l’ha portata dalla Germania, dov’è nata, a Firenze, alla scuola di Stefano Bemer. Il passo successivo è uno spazio tutto suo, dove ora lavora con due assistenti. I momenti chiave: prendere la forma, non soltanto schizzando, ma ‘capendo’ la conformazione del piede e la prova da fare già con il pellame scelto, poi non resta che attendere la consegna.
A perfectly tidy shop, full of light, where in addition to the workbench there are shelves with the models and forms of the customers, as if on a bookcase. Saskia works right in the middle of the shop, you can watch her from the window. A passion for shoes, especially for men, brought her from her native Germany to Florence and the school of Stefano Bemer. The next step was a space of her own, where she now works with two assistants. The key moments: taking the measurements, not just scribbling them down, but ‘understanding’ the conformation of the foot, then testing the chosen leather, and finally wait for the delivery.
