Harram Temple No. 23 Steadfast in Serving Community

The Nobles of Harram Temple No. 23 remain safe, but very active in our community service endeavors. Each year prior to 2020, the Temple distributed more than 70 food baskets and clothing during the Christmas holidays to needy families and individuals in the Tampa Bay area. Although faced with the most alarming pandemic the world has ever experienced, Nobles remain undaunted and steadfast in their mission to promote charity.
On December 9, 2020, at New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida, Nobles of Harram Temple, led by Illustrious Potentate Alejandero J. Kelly, presented a $1,000.00 check to State Representative Diane Hart, supporting the East Tampa Business and Civic Association Food Bank Distribution Program for the East Tampa neighborhoods. Kelly said, “We really thought hard and long about whether we should cancel our Annual Community Christmas Clothes Closet and Food Distribution Program. So as not to put the Nobles nor the community’s health and safety at risk, we felt that our financial support could still go a long way in assisting those needy families, especially during times such as these.”
For the 13th time in the organization’s 125-year history, Harram Temple No. 23 was named the Imperial Council’s Temple Charity Award Grand Champions for calendar year 2020. Supporting community events and programs like the East Tampa Business and Civic Association’s Food Distribution Program among the many other Tampa Bay area charitable programs is what makes all the difference to those we serve. This makes Harram Temple No. 23 one of the BEST temples in the Domain.
