MESSAGE FROM BOB POSNER, M.D.

Greetings!!! I hope your holiday season was filled with joy, happiness, loving family time, and of course, great health. On December 5th, we celebrated our 30th anniversary of the opening of my internal medicine practice. Wow! 30 years? Where did the time go? I have seen patients that have become parents, then grandparents and I have had the great fortune of providing medical care to three generations of families.

Although the statistics show that the number of independent, primary care practices is dwindling, I have zero plans to retire. I am still passionate about helping people become happier and healthier, both by providing preventative services such as the Serotonin-Plus Weight Control Program as well as diagnosis and treatment when a medical problem develops.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALLOWING ME TO BE YOUR DOCTOR!

We have been remiss about not sending out periodic newsletters, but this will change, as we plan on sending a newsletter out quarterly. We are offering amazing new services to our practice and these newsletters will provide information about these offerings. Also, we will provide helpful tips for losing weight and keeping that weight off!

TELEMEDICINE AT YOUR CONVENIENCE

BY: ROBERT POSNER, M.D.

What is Telemedicine?

One of the fastest growing fields in medicine currently is “telemedicine”. To some extent, most doctors, including me, have performed occasional remote care. Perhaps a patient is out of town, developed a simple/uncomplicated medical problem such as a urinary tract infection, skin rash or upper respiratory infection, and rather than lining up at an urgent care center, the patient will call me after hours and I will try my best to diagnose and treat the problem.

It is estimated that 76% of visits to a primary care doctor could be accomplished just as well via a telemedicine encounter.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We are now offering a MUCH MORE sophisticated method of handling remote visits (internal medicine and weight control visits) that will allow for HIPAA-compliant, HD video conferencing. Concerning medical issues, I will be able to “see” you, learn more about your symptoms and then render a diagnosis and then send a prescription(s), if needed, to the local pharmacy of your choice. Concerning Serotonin-Plus visits, we will be able to “see” you, share our screens to show you progress reports. Using the SeroFit app and our Bluetooth scale integration, your weight will automatically upload to your chart.

I still remain “old school” in believing that there is no substitute for face-to-face visits, but the reality of busy schedules, traffic and other complications is such that offering a much easier “alternative” to office visits makes great sense.

Engaging in telemedicine visits with us requires only an easy download of Zoom to your mobile device, laptop and/or tablet. Then, it is a simple matter of clicking on a link we will send to you via e- mail for your appointment and your “visit” will begin....high definition, HIPAA-compliant and almost like being in the office! To learn more, call 703-866- 4144 or schedule online at www.spdiet.com.

PREVENTION AND TREATMENT

BY: ROBERT POSNER, M.D.

I have been practicing internal medicine for 38 years (gulp!). I have seen tens of thousands of patients and this has provided me with lots of experience of diagnosing and treating medical illnesses. I developed the Serotonin-Plus Weight Control Program in 2002, and this added a great “preventative” program to our practice. Over these 16 years during which both internal medicine services AND weight control services have been offered, we have had many internal medicine patients become Serotonin-Plus patients and conversely, Serotonin-Plus patients become internal medicine patients.

We are now offering a NEW program that will provide UNLIMITED weekly Serotonin-Plus visits for the entire year and UNLIMITED internal medicine visits for the entire year PLUS a yearly, full physical examination, EKG and comprehensive laboratory testing. This membership program will also include FREE serotonin supplements (including SeroPro if needed) for the entire year. Additionally, we will support telemedicine services that will allow access to me if a medical problem develops and you are out of the area. This access will be 24/7.

** THIS IS IS A LIMITED TIME PROGRAM OFFER **

If you are interested in this comprehensive program of UNLIMITED use of our services, please contact us at: arunee@serosolution.com or call us at: 703-866-4144.

SCHEDULE YOUR FREE BODY SCAN TODAY!

I want to remind everyone of a FREE support tool we provide to help you stay focused and committed to your long-term weight control efforts. One of the key elements of a successful weight control journey is having support. During your SP Program, we were/are seeing you weekly but when the formal visit phase is over, it is very important to continue “seeing” us.

Upon completion of the SP Medically Supervised Weight Loss Program, our SeroFit Program will allow you to continue the serotonin treatment in your maintenance phase. We encourage you to come in for monthly body scans to hold yourself accountable and seek the support you need. PLEASE visit us once a month for a FREE body scan. Coming through the doors, seeing the smiling/supportive faces of our staff, getting on our $4000 dollar scale and interacting with us provides a great accountability scenario that helps people stay “in the zone”.
