Demi Moore has proven herself to be one of the industry's most accomplished performers, lending her talents to an array of revered films and television both in front of and behind the camera. The actress set a record in 1995 when she became the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, a testament to her star power and box office appeal.
Most recently, Moore can be seen in the second season of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series Feud: Capote vs. The Swans as socialite Ann Woodward, a former showgirl and radio actress who was infamously accused of murdering her husband in 1955. The actress will next be seen in Coralie Fargeat’s first studio feature, The Substance, alongside Margaret Qualley, which is making its World Premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Moore also just wrapped production on the Paramount+ drama Landman from Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, where she plays Cami, wife to one of the most powerful oil men in Texas and a friend of Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton.
Moore’s acting career took off in the late 1980s when she starred in St. Elmo’s Fire. She then went on to star in such iconic films as About Last Night…, Ghost, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal, The Scarlet Letter, Disclosure, and G.I. Jane. Success poured in over the following years, with Moore consistently starring in high-grossing films including Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Bobby, and Margin Call, among many others. She produced and lent her voice to QCODE’s podcast Dirty Diana, which is being adapted into a series that Moore will star in. In 2019, she added New York Times best-selling author to her lengthy list of credits with her memoir, Inside Out.

A worldwide superstar and household name for more than 50 years, Cher has conquered more challenges than a handful of other talents combined—recording, concerts, film and Broadway acting, television and directing.
Along the way she has been richly rewarded with an Academy Award, a GRAMMY, an Emmy, three Golden Globes, the Kennedy Center Honor, a Cannes Film Festival award, and a People's Choice Award.
Beginning as a studio backing singer in the 1960s, Cher met fledgling producer Sonny Bono and they quickly became pop sensations with the worldwide smash "I Got You Babe." Their flamboyant hair and clothes were an early hint of Cher's subsequent profound influence on the world of fashion.
The couple's popularity peaked with The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour TV series until they split up in the mid-1970s.
In 1982 Cher took a huge gamble to appear on Broadway in Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean. But it worked and prompted a successful acting career, which included Mask, Silkwood, and Mermaids and culminated in an Academy Award for best actress in Moonstruck.
Cher stunned the music world with a complete musical re-invention in the mid-1980s, highlighted by her controversial video for "If I Could Turn Back Time."
But it would be her venture into the world of dance music with the GRAMMY-winning "Believe" in 1998 that eclipsed it all. "Believe" made Cher the oldest woman (at 52) to have a number one record in the Hot 100 era. It made her the only female artist to have Top 10 hits in every decade from the 1960s to beyond the new millennium.
The subsequent "Farewell Tour" played to more than three million fans, was captured in an Emmy-winning TV special, and is one of the most successful tours in history.

A er electrifying music from multiple angles, appearing in blockbuster films, and launching successful business ventures, Nick Jonas still challenges himself and popular culture.
Of course, his story as one-third of Jonas Brothers remains well-documented— especially given the band’s chart-dominating 2019 comeback Happiness Begins, sold-out tours, and subsequent GRAMMY Award nomination. At the same time, he established himself as a dynamic solo artist with a penchant for breaking boundaries. 2014’s self-titled Nick Jonas yielded the triple-platinum “Jealous,” double-platinum “Chains,” and gold-certified “Levels.” Its 2016 follow-up Last Year Was Complicated spawned the anthem “Close” (feat. Tove Lo) and brought his streams into the billions. In 2017, he contributed the Golden Globe Awardnominated “Home” to the Ferdinand soundtrack. Meanwhile, his songwriting would be recognized with the prestigious Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2016.
Along the way, he also captivated audiences as a recurring judge on NBC’s The Voice and in big screen favorites such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, UglyDolls, Midway, Jumanji: The Next Level, Chaos Walking, and more. In 2021, Nick released his studio album Spaceman (Island Records). Most recently, Jonas starred in The Good Half, delivering a knockout performance in what marks his first leading role. In 2023, Nick and Jonas Brothers once again proved they are a constant force, embarking on a new era with the release of The Album, via Republic Records. The Album was produced by Jon Bellion and features hit singles “Waffle House” and “Wings.” In support of the new album and this new era for Jonas Brothers, they kicked off The Tour with two sold-out shows at New York's iconic Yankee Stadium on August 12 and 13. The Tour includes stadium and arena dates around the globe through 2024, resulting in the band's biggest and most extensive tour to date.

London-born singer-songwriter Jess Glynne made history by becoming the first and only British female solo artist to score seven number ones on the UK Singles Chart—among them "I'll Be There," "Hold My Hand," and "Don't Be So Hard on Yourself."
Jess rose to prominence in 2013 as a featured artist on the multi-platinum singles "Rather Be" by Clean Bandit and "My Love" by Route 94, both of which soared to UK number one in the charts.
Since then, Jess Glynne has earned a GRAMMY Award, three Ivor Novello Awards, and nine BRIT Award nominations. With her first two chart-topping albums I Cry When I Laugh and Always In Between becoming Platinum bestsellers, Jess was named on Forbes’ notorious "30 under 30" in 2019 following her sell-out world tour.
A er taking a break from music, Jess signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation, a brand new record deal with music giants EMI, and went full steam ahead into her new body of work.
An album six years in the making, Jess Glynne has just released her third studio album JESS, already featuring in the Official Top Ten Charts. A hugely proud piece of work, JESS is representative of where she has evolved to musically and in life since the release of her previous album. Written between London and LA, the 15-track self-titled album is penned with a deep sense of empowerment through Jess' intimate song-writing style, featuring soulful ballads and the quintessential pop anthems that have earned Jess the title of one of music’s most successful artists.
Adding to her accolades, in April 2024 Jess received the hugely prestigious BRIT Billion award for achieving over 1 billion streams in the UK, following in the footsteps of previous winners Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish and Lana Del Rey.
Jess is taking her new album and iconic hits on tour this summer.

Alexander Calder was born in 1898 in Philadelphia, the son of Alexander Stirling Calder and grandson of Alexander Milne Calder, both well-known sculptors. After obtaining his mechanical engineering degree from the Stevens Institute of Technology, Calder worked at various jobs before enrolling at the Art Students League in New York City in 1923, where he finished his first miniature traveling circus and made a name for himself as an innovative abstract sculptor.
Calder is known as the originator of the suspended or standing moving sculpture made from delicately balanced shapes and set in motion by air currents; a device Marcel Duchamp named “mobiles.” He was awarded the main prize for sculpture at the Venice Biennale in 1952 and first prize for sculpture in the 1954 Pittsburgh International. His work is held in nearly every major institution in the world.
In 1953 Calder began a lifelong passion for the watercolor-like medium of gouache. This 1973 gouache of Eve with the serpent is notable for its figurative subject matter, while also featuring many signatures of Calder's oeuvre including the use of bold, primary colors, and geometric motifs.

New York City-based artist Michael Kagan is known for producing oil paintings with large, expressive brushstrokes that convey a decisive hand and the power of his subject matter. Kagan explores the physical and emotional journey that accompanies explorers, from mountaineers to astronauts. His dramatic paintings depict man pushing the limits of nature through technology and physical stamina. Kagan believes a painting is perfect “when it can fall apart or it can come back together depending on how you read the image and also how close you are.”
Born in 1980 in Virginia Beach, Michael Kagan received his BA from The George Washington University and MFA from New York Academy of Art, where he also completed a postgraduate fellowship in 2005. Special projects include a commission from the Smithsonian, three collaborations with Pharrell Williams, and album cover artwork for White Lies’ Big TV, which won the 2013 Best Art Vinyl Award. A new sculpture collaboration with Pharrell was unveiled during Paris Fashion Week in June 2023.
Kagan has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide. In 2019 he had his first solo museum exhibition at Virginia MOCA, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Recent solo exhibitions at Almine Rech Gallery include Brussels in 2021, London in 2022, and Paris in Fall 2023, as well as The Journal Gallery in New York City in Fall 2023 and with Venus Over Manhattan in New York City in Spring 2024.

He spent his formative years in Huntington Beach before moving to Los Angeles, where he was steeped in that city’s music and art scene for many years before his journey led him to cross paths with Los Angeles artist Ed Ruscha in the late ’90s.
Gleaning what knowledge he could from the cryptic Ruscha, Mason found the support and confidence necessary to conquer a blank canvas. Since those days, Mason has gone on to have many successful exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, and Asia.

Yves Scherer (b. 1987, Switzerland) is a Swiss contemporary artist living and working in New York. He graduated from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2014 with an MA in Sculpture, after receiving a BA in Sciences of Culture from the University of Lucerne.
Formally blending the pose of Der Morgen, the famous sculpture that is part of the Barcelona Pavilion (Mies Van der Rohe’s modernist masterpiece), and a found model of a Baroque dancer, Daylight depicts a young woman in a summer dress shielding herself from the sun or a source of light while at the same time almost dancing or playfully interacting with it. The left hand is raised, not enough to protect but enough to engage. As Scherer’s work often deals with the idea of private and public spheres, it is interesting to look at the idea of the sun here also in the light of celebrity, exposure, or fame.
Experimenting with different mediums and forms, Scherer discusses themes ranging from gender identity, personal life experiences, and emotions to Hollywood culture, public media, and spectacle. The artist questions the boundaries of privacy while exploring the tensions between reality and virtuality, particularly during this digital age of instantaneity. Scherer uses behind-the-scenes stories to render daily moments with a striking combination of intimate thoughts and familiar faces. His work reflects on a voyeuristic desire to peek into the seemingly impenetrable lives of celebrities, and surveys society’s fascination with entertainment personalities and breaks the mythicized barrier between the fan’s imagination and the celebrity.
Scherer’s work has been exhibited at international institutions and galleries. He is the recipient of a Förderpreis Bildende Kunst des Kanton Solothurn 2012 and the Swiss Art Award in 2015, and was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 “Art and Design” Class of 2016.

Lightness of Being, 2024 (amfAR Gala Cannes 30th Anniversary)

Chris Levine is an artist who works across many mediums in pursuit of a meditative experience through image and form. His medium is Light, and in the case of his portraiture the artist talks about capturing the inner Light. Levine is perhaps best known for producing what is already being described as one of the most iconic images of the twenty-first century: Lightness of Being. With light as its message, the sensational portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II presents an utterly fresh depiction of the most famous woman in the world.
This unique rendition of Lightness of Being was conceived specially for the 30th anniversary edition of amfAR Gala Cannes and represents the largest iteration of the work ever created, with hand drawing and Swarovski crystals, and mounted on aluminum.
Levine had two historic sittings at Buckingham Palace for which he styled the Queen, selecting her clothes and jewelry for the portrait including the ceremonial diamond diadem crown.
The National Portrait Gallery called it “the most evocative image of a Royal by any artist.”
Levine has had solo exhibitions at numerous institutions and galleries, including a 2021 career-defining solo exhibition at the prestigious Houghton Hall, England, following James Turrell, Anish Kapoor, Damien Hirst and Henry Moore. Other exhibitions include Collectors Contemporary, Singapore; Annenberg Foundation, Los Angeles; Museum of Modern Art, New York; the National, Scotland; and at The Royal Opera House, Saatchi Gallery, and National Portrait Gallery in London.

More than 50 professions are mastered in Chopard's workshops, where particular attention is paid to in-house training, passing on know-how, and perpetuating artistic crafts. As World Sponsor and Official Timekeeper of the 1000 Miglia—the world's most beautiful classic car race—since 1988, and Official Partner of the Cannes Film Festival since 1998, Chopard consistently lives up to its stature as an Artisan of Emotions.

Scharf will take part in a special six-day amfAR Gala Cannes artist residency, creating a unique quadriptych on the event grounds to be auctioned off during the gala.
Kenny Scharf (born in Los Angeles, 1958) attended Manhattan’s School of Visual Arts and came of age in the 1980s New York downtown art scene alongside his contemporaries Keith Haring and JeanMichel Basquiat.
A painter and performer inhabiting the visual worlds of both street art and popular culture, Scharf’s paintings gained him notoriety and established a vernacular language all his own. Often working with improvisation, he creates playful, gestural pieces that blend stylized motifs with references to the surreal, science fiction, and icons of popular culture. Many of his larger works still adorn New York streets to this day.

Internationally renowned British contemporary artist Damien Hirst has been no stranger to shock and spectacle from the start, fusing originality and pastiche into a body of work that has often married the entrepreneurial with the aesthetic.
Born in Bristol and raised in Leeds, Hirst began his art studies at Jacob Kramer College of Art. He moved to London in 1984 and was graduated from Goldsmiths College (1986–1989), where he curated a student show, Freeze, that showcased works by sixteen of his classmates who would go on to be known as the Young British Artists (YBAs), a dominant force in the 1990s art scene thanks in part to art collector Charles Saatchi. During this time, Hirst made the first of his Spot Paintings, which fuse color and geometry and play with the notion of machine-precision art vs. the handheld brush and of which Naphthylamine is an example. His Spin Paintings use centripetal force to spread bright colors across canvases with a randomness that stands in contrast to his Spot Paintings. Recently he completed a series of paintings during the COVID-19 lockdowns, Cherry Blossoms, large-format canvases that revisit and revise floral subjects of earlier eras.
Along with painting, Hirst has explored assemblages, notably in his series, Medicine Cabinets, and installations, such as Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable, which presented artifacts from a fictional 2,000-year-old shipwreck discovered off the coast of East Africa in 2008 and salvaged by Hirst.
Major retrospectives of Hirst’s work have been mounted at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale in Naples in 2008 and the Tate Modern in London in 2012. He opened his own gallery, the Newport Street Gallery in London, in 2015. Hirst’s accolades include Tate Britain’s Turner Prize, one of the most prestigious awards for contemporary art.
Over the years, Hirst has auctioned off numerous pieces to raise money for HIV/AIDS. In 2014, at amfAR Gala Cannes, Hirst’s gigantic vitrine sculpture, Gone but not Forgotten, which contained the gilded skeleton of a woolly mammoth, was auctioned for €11 million. Donated by Hirst, the work was part of his Natural History series.

Andy Warhol’s iconic images are deeply engrained in the global consciousness. What is less well known about the artist is that the sale of his works has raised millions of dollars for amfAR. But Warhol’s support of amfAR went beyond the generous donation of his artworks—in 1986, he hosted one of amfAR’s earliest fundraising events at the New York Academy of Art.
The pop artist held a life-long fascination with fame, both courting it himself while choosing to feature pop culture’s most well-known figures in various works—Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, Queen Elizabeth II, Mickey Mouse, and Elizabeth Taylor, amfAR’s founding international chairman.
Iconic in her own right, Elizabeth Taylor was an object of fascination for the artist. Warhol produced many works featuring Elizabeth—as the characters she played in National Velvet and Cleopatra, as well as with the men in her life. Created in 1964 (though dated ’66 in the artwork), Liz captures the Oscar-winning actress at the height of her career.
The inclusion of Liz in the auction holds special significance. In 1985, Taylor, along with Dr. Mathilde Krim and others, founded amfAR to support much-needed AIDS research. Bringing cinematic glamour and compassion to the south of France, Taylor launched what would become amfAR Gala Cannes in 1993.

Richard Phillips is an American artist born in 1962 in Marblehead, Massachusetts. He received his BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design before pursuing his MFA in painting at Yale School of Art.
Known for his large-scale, hyperrealistic paintings, Richard Phillips engages the complex web of human obsessions with sexuality, politics, power, and death that are constantly exploited in mainstream media. Subjecting popular images to a range of classical painterly techniques, he estranges their familiarity and thus imbues them with new meaning. Photographic images of politicians are re-cast in neon, while supermodels are represented as academic paintings, as if to augment their status as pop icons. Over and over again throughout his work, the glossy idealism of advertising propaganda is subverted by his underlying resistance to its blatant seduction.
He has exhibited in New York, London, Berlin, Paris, Brussels, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong. His work belongs in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Tate Modern, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Van Abbemuseum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
In addition to his paintings, Phillips has produced a number of films.
Phillips currently lives and works in New York City.

Doug Aitken, born in 1968 in Redondo Beach, California, is an American multidisciplinary artist. Aitken's body of work ranges from photography, print media, sculpture, and architectural interventions, to narrative films, sound, single and multi-channel video works, installations, and live performance. He initially studied magazine illustration with Philip Hays at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena before graduating with a degree in Fine Arts in 1991. He currently lives in Venice, California, and New York City.
Utilizing a wide array of artistic approaches, Doug Aitken illuminates the effects of our mediasaturated culture. His works lead us into a world where time, space, and memory are fluid concepts. Using the landscape as both subject and medium, he homes in on themes of industrial, urban, and environmental decline.
Aitken is best known for installations that intervene in outdoor spaces. He projected his short film Sleepwalkers (2007), which stars Donald Sutherland and Tilda Swinton, in separate frames across the façade of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). For his Mirage project, installed in Gstaad, Switzerland, and Palm Springs, California, he created a mirror-coated, Frank Lloyd Wright–inspired home.
He is exhibited in renowned institutions worldwide, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, MoMA, the Centre Georges Pompidou, Vienna Secession, and Serpentine Gallery in London. In 1999, he won the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale; in 2012, the Nam June Paik Art Center Prize; and the 2013 Smithsonian American Ingenuity Award: Visual Arts. His work belongs in the collections of MoMA, the Hammer Museum, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Walker Art Center, among others.
