This annual community event raises awareness of HIV/AIDS by uplifting the stories of individuals living with, affected by, or at risk of HIV. Fresno AIDS Walk brings our community together to honor supporters, remember those lost to the virus, and stand in solidarity with those who continue to fight HIV/AIDS. We invite your organization to become a sponsor of the 15th Annual Fresno AIDS Walk. Building on last year’s success, we are excited to continue offering meaningful opportunities for in-person and online recognition through event promotions and social media. About Our Beneficiary: The Living Room The Living Room, a project of WestCare California, Inc., proudly celebrates 30 years of service as the Central Valley’s longest-standing HIV/AIDS drop-in center. With over 2,400 individuals living with HIV in Fresno County, The Living Room provides critical support including case management, food pantry services, transportation assistance, and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) support- and most importantly, a place to belong.

Last year’s Fresno AIDS Walk raised over $29,000 to sustain these life-changing services.

ABOUT OUR BENEFICIARY: THE LIVING ROOM Founded in 1996 by Jules Mastro, The Living Room began as a small support circle in a private home at a time when Fresno had few resources for those living with HIV/AIDS. What started as a grassroots effort has grown into the Central Valley’s longest-running HIV/AIDS social support organization.

A proud member of the WestCare California family since 2002, The Living Room continues to honor its founding mission: providing dignity, compassion, and—most importantly—a place to belong.

15 Years of Walking Together This event is the heartbeat of our fundraising efforts, allowing us to: 1.Tell the Stories of those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. 2.Raise Awareness to reduce stigma and promote testing.

3.Remember those we have lost.

A Place to Call Your Own The Living Room is a long-standing HIV drop-in center that has been a place to belong for our community for 30 years. We offer housing and essential supportive services to individuals and families, and provide a welcoming space where people can find support, connection, and care. Here, you can access: Case Management & Advocacy: Personalized support and linkage to supportive services.

Housing Support: Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) assistance.

Peer Support: Dedicated HIV support groups and a community drop-in center.

Supportive Services: Monthly food pantry and transportation assistance.

Testing & Prevention: Free, confidential testing and counseling for HIV, HCV (Hepatitis C), and Syphilis.
