Scenario Current experience:
Truc Ly is currently 23 years old and works as a primary school teacher in District 3. Her daily tasks involve teaching basic knowledge and caring for nearly 50 students. Sometimes, the job can be quite challenging, so Ly wants to spend her weekends relaxing. She often invites her friends to go shopping and prefers places that aren’t too crowded, prioritizing a comfortable shopping experience. However, on weekends, she often has to deal with waiting and sometimes overcrowding while shopping
With Muji Virtual Try-on :
Truc Ly often has to deal with waiting and sometimes overcrowding while shopping. After seeing a poster about Muji Virtual Try-on and receiving an introduction from the staff, Truc Ly quickly explored and experienced this convenient technology. Instead of waiting in long lines to use the fitting rooms, which often disrupts the shopping experience, Ly used her device to tap on NFC chips located on specific clothing racks. This allowed her to check the availability of colors and sizes in the store instantly. Additionally, Truc Ly no longer worries about finding the perfect match for a favorite item, as Muji’s new technology integrates AI to make mixing and matching outfits much easier.
MUJI Virtual Try-On What is MUJI Virtual Try-on?
Muji Virtual Try-On is a feature directly accessed via NFC chips attached to each clothing rack. It was developed to address customer dissatisfaction during peak hours, where long waits for fitting rooms are a common issue. Reasons include uncertainty about whether an item suits them or how to mix and match it appropriately.
This technology uses an AR fitting room to alleviate these problems. Customers can instantly access information about an item they’re interested in (such as color, size, and availability), use their mobile device to "try on" the item without entering a fitting room, and receive AI-generated mix-and-match suggestions tailored to that specific piece.

Design Systems Color
Because my project is developed based on MUJI, a Japanese home goods and fashion brand, I found during my research that minimalism is the style MUJI aims to embody. Additionally, the main colors of MUJI's home goods and fashion items often revolve around beige, neutral, and easy-to-use tones. Therefore, my layout was inspired by two contrasting signature colors of MUJI. Since MUJI emphasizes simplicity, I will incorporate that principle into my project. Color code : 980A2B
Color code : FAF7EB
Typography The font I chose for Muji is "Inter", a modern and simple sans-serif font designed with a focus on optimizing user interfaces. Moreover, this font supports Vietnamese, which aligns with my goal for this Muji project—making the brand more accessible to a broader Vietnamese audience.

Reflections Learning UX through projects has helped me understand how to design user-centered solutions. Working on projects allowed me to transform theoretical knowledge from the UX Theory course into tangible outcomes.
Through this UX Project course, I had the opportunity to practice and apply theories from UX Theory, such as identifying pain points to focus on creating effective solutions; building wireframes in Figma to clarify the design process; iterating prototypes based on user feedback or A/B testing to improve usability. Additionally, constantly dealing with unexpected revisions taught me to adapt and balance the enormous workload and time management challenges from this course.
Although this semester required me to learn a great deal about an entirely new field and continuously face a massive workload, overall, it was a positive experience. This was thanks to the incredibly friendly and professional instructors, including Ms. Sweii and Mr. Luca, who were always willing to respond to my messages on Teams and provide the necessary guidance to help me develop and improve my project.
