WELCOME TO AROUND THE GROUNDS Another big week of GSV completed and another BIG one ahead!

Tere were some great results, some exciting games and most importantly all students getting active and enjoying some sport!

Next week the GSV Prelim Aths carnival is taking place and I cannot wait to report back on the day!

Good luck to all students that are competing, Head Athletics Coach Kate Richardson and all the Aths Coaches involved in getting our amazing MLC Athletics Team ready for the day!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

A couple of important reminders to all GSV participants: COMMITMENT Well done to the majority of students for committing to their weekly training and GSV fixtured matches - Unfortunately, for a percentage of you this still needs work - Please give as much notice as possible if you are not available to play each week.

Some coaches were getting multiple messages as late as 2.20pm that students could not play that very afternoon. This is not acceptable and my lead to us forfeiting a match if a team is left with too few to play.

If you have other, unavoidable commitments or injuries we require as much notice as possible. Appointments should be planned around your GSV commitments and if you are home sick a 9am message to you coach is expected, not last minute. Please make every effort to get to all matches and training sessions.

MATCH DAY PROCEDURES - LEAVING CLASS For all students who are travelling to AWAY matches you are permitted to leave class at 2.50pm. You will be attendance tracked. You are then to meet your coaches promptly at the Chapel car park to be ticked off and on the bus by 3pm.

There may be times when teams are travelling a long distance to compete, this meeting time may be earlier. This will be clearly communicated in Teams chat groups.

If you are playing HOME you do not leave class early. At the end of Period 6 you make your way to the PEC to meet your coaches and be ticked off. There will then be warm up time while we await the other school to arrive.

Please follow these expectations. Both teachers and coaches are going to be monitoring this closely.
