Power over Ethernet Drapery Motor Makes Debut at Dendo Systems BOOTH 3246 (LAUNCHPAD) Dendo Systems, an Australian manufacturer of motor and control technology for automated window coverings, is debuting what it touts as the world’s first
Power over Ethernet (PoE) drapery motor at Expo (Launchpad, Booth 3246). The new motor is part of the company’s RENKEI Platform, which delivers direct Ethernet power, control, and real-time position feedback for motorized roller shades and draperies. The RENKEI Platform combines PoE roller-shade and drapery motors with the RENKEI Processor, enabling automatic motor discovery, limit setting, grouping, and open API integration with third-party automation systems. Each motor connects directly to standard Ethernet and PoE infrastructure, eliminating proprietary wiring and centralized power panels. An internal energy buffer keeps power consumption to approximately three watts per motor while supporting individual addressing, synchronized Dendo’s PoE drapery motor, part of the company’s RENKEI platform control, and real-time position feedback.
