“No Land to the Promise Land: We Stand” follows the young artists of the Promise Land Arts Center in West Las Vegas as they fight an eviction notice from VantaCorp. Initially divided by artistic differences – some favoring traditional theater, others advocating for modern, culturally-rooted performances – the groups eventually unite. Inspired by community elders, they stage a powerful, live-streamed protest performance. As authorities move to shut them down, the youth stand firm, reclaiming their space and identity, proving that the “Promise Land” is not just a building, but an unbreakable spirit and a shared heritage. Directed by Ron Himes.

Tony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be the boy who would not grow up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). The play explores the depths of greed, despair, the bonds of friendship, duty, and love. A young orphan and his mates are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by the evil King Zarboff. At sea, the boys are discovered by a precocious young girl named Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training. When the ship is taken over by pirates – led by the fearsome Black Stache-the journey quickly becomes a thrilling adventure.

Philip Glass’s La Belle et la Bête (The Beauty and the Beast ) is a groundbreaking opera that seamlessly merges live performance with cinematic magic. Composed in 1994 as part of Glass’s trilogy homage to French poet and filmmaker Jean Cocteau, this opera transforms Cocteau’s 1946 film into a mesmerizing audiovisual experience. Glass replaced the film’s original soundtrack with his own score, perfectly syncing the voices of opera singers with the film’s actors. The result is a captivating journey where film and music intertwine, bringing Cocteau’s fairytale masterpiece to life in a uniquely haunting and immersive way.

Toe Tag Monologues Live, written by retired Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer and Founder, R. Byron Stringer, are based on real life and death situations our youth face daily. Stringer took stories of events from the streets and put pen to paper to create Toe Tag Monologues which address the multi-faceted challenges of drug abuse, bullying, drinking and driving, teen suicide, human trafficking, gang violence, school violence and shootings, domestic violence, self-harm and low self-esteem. These powerful monologues present realistic scenarios often resulting in a toe tag and body bag, and youth are encouraged to engage in open discussions. These discussions require the program participants to use their critical thinking skills to identify and remove any challenges preventing them from making positive life choices. The team is teaching our youth that every choice has a consequence, and some consequences have to be dealt with for an entire lifetime.
