WELCOME TO AROUND THE GROUNDS This last week saw us wrap up the final week of Term 1, GSV matches. Congratulations to all students that participated in Term 1! Yet another record-breaking term with 578 girls on the sign-up lists!

We now look forward to both a big week of finals as well as the second week of trials and organising for the Term 2 sports of Netball, Football (AFL) and Hockey.

Congratulations to the following teams on making it through to FINALS! SS - Volleyball A Team, Tennis A&B teams MS - Volleyball A, B, C & D, Tennis B (*A tbc) and Softball B teams JSS - Volleyball A, B, C & D and Tennis A, B, C & D teams

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

Term 2 GSV We had a fantastic turn out for Week 1 of trials, and we expect an even bigger Week 2! Please make every effort to get along so you can be placed into an appropriate team.

WEEK 2 TRIALS Monday 31st March MS Netball and Hockey, 7am to 8am at MLC Tuesday 1st April JSS Netball (only those not yet trialed) and Hockey: 7am to 8am at MLC, JSS Football: 3.30pm - 4.45pm at Glenferrie Oval. Meet at the fountain and you will be dismissed directly from Glenferrie Oval.

Wednesday 2nd April - SS Netball and Hockey: 7am to 8am MLC, 9-12 Football: 3.30pm - 4.45pm at Glenferrie Oval. Meet at the fountain and you will be dismissed directly from Glenferrie Oval.

GSV FINALS! See the below fixture with all the GSV Finals schedules. These are half day events as there will be Semi Finals and Grand Finals played on the same day. Please note that the estimated arrival time for most groups to be back to MLC is 6pm.

Students will need to attend normal classes prior to their departure times as listed below. Please give as much advance notice of any sickness or absence directly to their coaches.

PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK This weeks ‘Performance of the Week’ goes to...

ALL the students who participated in Term 1 GSV. The commitment to training, playing and getting better each week is what it’s all about.

At MLC we aim to foster an enjoyment of sport for all athletes Beginners, Social, Competitive and Elite.

While we are excited for all those teams heading off to finals next week, we are also super proud of all the girls who gave a new sport a go, played GSV just for fun and gave it their best shot!

Well done everyone!

A quick mention to all the GSV coaches who encouraged and supported our players at both the training sessions and the matches over the term. Without them all our teams would not get to compete!
