WITCH HOLLOW GENERAL MANAGER UPDATES Connor Farrell

Dear Members,

We have wrapped up September with a successful golf course aeration and move into October with the hopes of good weather for an extended golf season.

As we continue into October, we as a staff will begin collecting our notes made throughout the year and really reflect on successes, pain points, and hopes for the 2027 season. This is where your feedback will be very important to us. We will be releasing member surveys through Club IQ in the near future. We will have a separate, standalone email that will give more details on how this process works.

This survey service will be a continuous survey. You will be prompted 3-4 times a year to take the survey and we will be able to see how we are doing in areas that are important to the membership as revealed by the survey. It will be important to us that when your name is called for the survey that you please take the time to fill it out. We will do our best to be respectful of your time and keep the survey brief, but impactful. Thank you in advance for your time and efforts as we continue to improve as a team to deliver the best possible member experience!

I look forward to seeing you up here as you enjoy what our team has been working on!

Dear Members, October brings so many wonderful things! The leaves change to the most glorious colors of the year. We begin three straight months of different holiday decorations with houses and businesses depictions of ghouls, ghosts, and plenty of PG-13 shenanigans. On the course we start having rounds with lift, clean, and place, which is awesome if you find your ball under the fallen gloriously colored leaves. Halloween candy comes out and you remember that you love Butterfingers only to forget it until the Easter Bunny brings more. And don’t forget about the official start of hockey season. Go Canes!

Taking a look back at the past month, on September 3rd and 4th we had the Senior Club Championship. After two rounds in unseasonably cool and drizzly conditions, we crowned champions in the Men’s Senior (50+) and Men’s Super Senior (65+), and for the first time, Men’s Legend (75+), and Women’s Legend (29+). Congratulations to all the winners!

GOLF WITCH HOLLOW GOLF Justin Paredes

Looking ahead now to October, on the weekend of the 10th and 11th we will host our annual Member Member Chapman tournament. This is a two player event with winners both gross and net. Saturday tee times start at 8:30am and Sunday is a 9:00am Shotgun start with a lunch buffet following play. It is $180 a team with and optional money game of $80 cash per team. Please click the flyer on the following pages to find more information and register your team today!

October means the end of all the ladies leagues. On Wednesday the 14th is the Women’s Club 18 Closing Day. This will be a 12 hole step aside scramble with the closing luncheon to follow. On Tuesday the 27th, we will have the 9/12 AM Closing Day. This will be a team scramble with plenty of on course games to keep things interesting! Please view the next page for a final look at what’s to come for our Women’s groups as we cap off an incredible season.

Join us on October 24th for our Greenkeeper's Revenge tournament! Come try to conquer impossible pin locations and challenging greens in this 2-Person Scramble format (guests are welcome to play with a member). This won't be a Greenkeeper's revenge where there is equipment in fairways or hoses wrapped around the cup, this is how hard our Greenkeeper can make the course only moving tees and pin locations. This tournament will be a 12:00PM shotgun start on Witch Hollow, and the Fall Festival will follow play. Entry for golf is $60 per player ($120 per team) and this grants you access to the Fall Festival afterwards.

Last but not least, starting October 1st the ProShop will be open at 7:00am with the first tee time at 8:00am.

Enjoy the season!

MERCHANDISE MERCHANDISE Jared Duvall

As the weather begins to change, this is a friendly reminder that the offseason is a perfect opportunity to work on the details of your game. The simulator inside the Ghost Creek clubhouse offers a great break from the elements, and I would be happy to work with you all on any aspect of your game you’re looking to improve. Reach out to me for individual or group lessons, on-course or in the simulator, whatever works best for you! Let’s get after it! Hunter Wescott, Director of Instruction | hwescott@pumpkinridge.com

AGRONOMY AGRONOMY BLOG Matt Kimball

Greeting from the greens!

The closure for aerification was utilized well as we were able to get every area of the golf course and practice areas aerified and sanded. We took the opportunity to do a bit of sod work in a few areas, address some mushy spots along the edges of cart paths, and perform some tree work and general cleanup. The course is healing up quickly and should be setup for a great fall season. Ghost Creek is scheduled to be closed October 6th through the 8th for the same process, and we hope for great weather to get it done.

The autonomous fairway mowers continue to impress with the quality of cut, efficiency, and build quality. The support from the manufacturer Firefly Robotics has been impressive. The ability to automate these areas has freed up labor hours to be reallocated to increased detail inputs that I am sure everyone has noticed.

We have built a sizable list of drainage projects we will begin knocking out as we head into the fall. The list is ambitious, but I am confident the team will get it done!

Have fun out there!
