FORMAT Field: The field will consist of 6 teams per flight. Competition: Each two-man team will play five nine-hole matches against the other five teams in their respective flight. Format: Match Play, Net Best Ball of Partners, Playing off of the low handicap player in the group. Strokes fall as indicated on the scorecard. Half-strokes will be awarded. Tees: All players will play from the Blue tee markers except for players who qualify under the Rule of 72 and choose to move forward to the White tees. The Rule of 72 states that the combined age (60 and over) and handicap index used must be equal to or above 72 in order to move up to the White tees. Players electing to play White tees must declare it before the practice round on Wednesday. Handicaps: The 6 month low index will be used as of October 15. A maximum handicap index differential of 10 between partners. The higher handicap will be reduced down. Handicap Adjustment: Shootout at the Club Committee reserves the right to make handicap adjustments to any player and/or team as deemed necessary. Scoring: Scoring will be hole by hole playing each match to its nine-hole completion. Each hole will be worth one point. The team that accumulates the most points during a nine-hole match will receive an extra point for winning the match. If the teams accumulate the same amount of points in the nine-hole match, they will receive a 1/2 point each for the match. The team that accumulates the most points in their flight will be declared the flight winner. Ties will be decided by head-tohead competition, then by matches won. In the case of a tie in total matches won, a chip-off will determine the flight champion.

FORMAT Weather: Every effort will be made to complete all five nine-hole matches. In the event of rain, two completed matches will constitute a tournament. Teams which have accumulated the most points in their flight over the two completed matches will be declared the flight winners. Ties for first in flights will be broken by head-to-head competition. If two teams are tied for first who have not played each other, the winner will be the team that accumulated the most points against the common opponent with the highest point total. If still tied, a coin flip will determine the winner. In the event of inclement weather, first place in the overall tournament will be awarded to the team that accumulated the most points over the entire field. This team will be awarded the "Shootout at the Club" trophy. In case of a tie for the overall winner, we will have a sudden death playoff, if at all possible, beginning on hole #18. Strokes will be awarded off the low handicap team in the playoff with a NET best ball Team Auction: 90% of the overall Calcutta funds will be used as pay out to the owners of the teams, based on the outcome of the five nine-hole matches. The remaining 10% will be used to pay out the owners of the Shootout teams. Caddies: Caddies are not provided. If you wish to have a caddie, please notify Caddie Master at carltonwoods@caddiemaster.org. Players are responsible for caddie fees and gratuity. Gallery: Participants, guests, and their families are encouraged to spectate during the Shootout. Galleries are restricted to the cart paths at all times. Incomplete Flights: If a flight does not have six teams due to an incomplete field, the participants of that flight will play a match against par using 80% of their handicap. If a team withdraws during the event and fails to play the entire tournament, the participants of that flight will play a match against par using 80% of their handicap.

FORMAT Representation Of Side: Four-Ball Match Play. Representation of Side - A side may be represented by one partner for all or any part of a match; all partners need not be present. An absent partner may join a match between holes, but not during the play of a hole. The full team must be present to participate in the Shootout. Automatic Qualifying for 2027: The overall champion and all flight winners will receive automatic entry into the 2027 Men's Member Guest.

THE SHOOTOUT Each flight winner, as well as wildcard teams, will participate in the "Shootout" to determine the 2026 "Shootout at the Club" Champions. The Shootout will consist of four holes played on the Member Course. Stick around to cheer your flight to victory! The format of the Shootout will be true net alternate shot. Participants will play from the same tees they used during their matches and will stroke off the lowest team handicap participating in play of the hole. The team handicap will be calculated from the tees played during the matches using 70% of the A's handicap and 30% of the B's handicap. 50% of that total will then be used during the Shootout. The Shootout qualifiers will include the flight winners. Wildcard teams will include the highest scoring team that did not win their flight, the highest point total from the final 3 matches, and any team that won all 5 matches but was not the flight winner. Any ties for a wildcard team will be decided by a chip off prior to the shootout excluding those teams that have won all 5 matches but did not win their flight. These teams will automatically qualify. If a qualifying team can NOT participate in the Shootout, there will be NO substitutions of teams. The Shootout begins on #l0. Ten teams will advance to #11, six teams will advance to #17, and finally 2 teams will advance to play #18 to determine "The Shootout at the Club" champion. Ties on any Shootout hole (except the last hole) will be broken by a chip-off from a pre-determined position with a team best ball chip off. In the event of a tie on #18, sudden death will determine the winner beginning on #l0, followed by #11, #17, and #18. If there is still a tie, play will continue in the same order. The payout will be 10% of the drag from the Calcutta paid to the team owner. Six out of the Shootout teams will be paid.

CALCUTTA 1. A live auction will be held for this year's team auction. 2. Each team will be auctioned off for 100%. There will be no buying half of your team prior to the auction. 3. Payout will be to the owner of the team only. Owners will be paid at the conclusion of the Shootout on Saturday afternoon. 4. After the auction and prior to the 1st matches each team will have the opportunity to buy 50% of their team from the owner. The owner is required to sell 50% of the team if requested, Example: Team A does not purchase their team which sells for $800 to a different team. Prior to the 1st match Team, A has the option to pay $400 (half) to the team which owns them. 5. The bidding will begin @approximately 6:30p.m. The bidding order will be random by flight. 6. Opening bid will be $500.00. Bidding will increase with minimum increments of $50.00 7. The house will own all teams that are not purchased. 8. All Payment must be received by 11:00AM Thursday Morning. If payment is not received there will be a live auction for that team on the putting green before the 1st match. 9. The payoff will be as follows: Per flight. Ties will be broken first by head-tohead, then by most matches won and if still tied, the funds will be split for second & third only. 1st 50% 2nd 30% 3rd 20% The team auction is based on the outcome of the five 9-hole matches. The payout for the Shootout will be 10% of the drag from the Calcutta. This will be paid to the team OWNER at the conclusion of the Shootout on Saturday afternoon. In the event of rain, two completed matches will constitute a tournament and 100% of the auction will be paid out based on those results.
