This event will raise critical funds for individuals and families on their journey to stability and self-sufficiency. WestCare California, with its 50-year legacy of Uplifting the Human Spirit, has been at the forefront of providing a wide spectrum of behavioral health and human services. From housing opportunities to mental health care and Veterans’ support, we deliver trauma-informed, person-centered care that empowers individuals to transform their lives. Since 2013, Wings Advocacy Fresno has been dedicated to supporting chronically homeless individuals, families, Veterans, and survivors of domestic violence. As part of WestCare California’s family of projects since September 2023, we are now positioned to broaden our impact and reach even more individuals in need.

The upcoming Gala will be a key fundraising event to support Wings Advocacy Fresno's vital work and mission of creating a community where everyone has a place to call home. About Wings Advocacy Fresno Wings Advocacy Fresno has served some of the most vulnerable and chronically homeless populations since 2013, working in close cooperation with various community partners and organizations to deliver support and furnishings to newlyhoused individuals, families, and Veterans, as well as women and women with children affected by domestic violence.

Many whom we serve start with little to nothing once they are newly-housed, and it is our belief that by providing the seemingly simple necessities of furniture, kitchen and hygiene items, bed and blankets, etc., we ensure their new lives start off with more than just four walls.

With the continued growth and partnerships, we are excited to expand our reach of services and create even more opportunities for these individuals to reclaim their lives and become active, empowered members of their communities.

About WestCare California From serving 14 clients in 1974 to now serving 2,500 clients daily, WestCare California has 50 years of Uplifting the Human Spirit, providing a wide spectrum of behavioral health and human services in residential and outpatient environments.

In Loving Memory of Beverly Beverly Fitzpatrick, co-founder of Wings Advocacy Fresno, a Project of WestCare California, passed away in December 2024.

She was a passionate advocate for social justice, a voice for the voiceless, and an inspiration to many.

Beverly dedicated her time and energy to supporting the most vulnerable in our community, working with organizations such as Peace Fresno and the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.

She also served on the Boards of Dakota EcoGarden and Wings Advocacy Fresno.

In her legacy, Wings Advocacy Fresno remains committed to the mission that meant so much to her, continuing to serve newly housed clients each week. We are grateful for the ongoing community support that makes this work possible.
