HR ANNOUNCEMENTS UPDATED CORNERSTONE WELCOME PAGE We are happy to introduce Entravision’s updated Cornerstone Welcome Page, which has a new look and feel! The updated Welcome Page features a video montage of Entravision’s newscasts and On Air talent. In addition, at the bottom left of the Welcome Page there is a new interactive tool called “My Connect Communities Feed” to enhance employee engagement. The feed will display relevant news, informative posts, and updates from Entravision Communities that you are a member of. Check out the communities you are a part of by clicking the “Connect” widget from your Welcome Page.

On October 19th, Entravision/Univision Las Vegas and KLAS-TV hosted the only state-wide televised U.S. Senate debate between incumbent U.S. Republican Senator Dean Heller and U.S. Democratic Representative Jacky Rosen. Tsi-tsi-ki Felix, Entravision’s Politica Ya Host and Univision Washington’s News Anchor, was the moderator for this one-hour debate that was aired and covered by different media outlets in the region.

In March, Washington’s News Anchor Tsi-tsi-ki Felix MC’ed the first event where President Donald Trump addressed a Latino audience at the Latino Coalition Legislative Summit, a gala that took place in Washington, DC. The event was hosted by the Latino Coalition, where Trump spoke about entrepreneurship and the contribution of Hispanic business in the U,S.
Latino festival season was in full swing during the summer months in Boston and Entravision Boston, had the pleasure to participate in many of them.
The Dominican Festival of Boston 2018 took place on Sunday, August 19 at Clifford Park between 2PM-11PM, with the big parade starting at 12PM down Centre Street in Jamaica Plain. Entravision Boston participated in the parade and pumped up the crowd in between the onstage acts.
On June 29th, Tsi-tsi-ki Felix, host of Politica Ya and Univision Washington News anchor, was MC and host of The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s (GWHCC) 42nd Annual Gala: Service Estrella - Honoring Hispanics in Hospitality. The GWHCC aims to develop the network and tools for assisting businesses in the DC area. Every year over 1,500 businesses and organizations participate in its events and its members range from the Washington region’s largest corporations to one-person companies and everything in between. 13.

DAZZLES The Latino Family Festival in August is an annual family health and fitness festival. The festival celebrated its 12th anniversary this year at Fenway Park. The event included musical acts from Elvis Crespo and appearances by Red Sox MLB players including “Big Papi” David Ortiz!
Entravision Boston was also part of in the Worcester Festival, a wonderful celebration of diversity and culture. The festival is a great opportunity for businesses and the community to get together for a day of fun.
The Puerto Rican Festival of Massachusetts was created to bring together the Puerto Rican community in Boston. The festival has grown to become one of the nation’s premier celebrations. This year, the festival celebrated its 51st anniversary.

EL PASO Entravision El Paso held its 5th annual “Festival De La Salud” on September 22nd from 10am to 3pm at Sunland Park Mall. Over 12,000 people attended the free health and wellness event which featured onsite healthcare experts and services. Attendees had the opportunity of receiving flu shots, and a variety of screenings for cancer, varicose veins, vision and hearing at the event. In addition to wellness services, there was live entertainment for kids and adults, including Entravision’s own radio personality Alex “El Genio” Lucas who met with his El Paso fans.

DAZZLES HARTFORD Entravision, Univision Hartford-Springfield and UCI joined forces to host a “Family Fun Day” at Stop & Shop on Saturday, October 20th in Bloomfield, CT. The main goal was to build a strong connection with the local community, creating awareness of the new store experience and building lasting loyalty for Stop & Shop. There were families, kids, parents, and even many grandparents enjoying the live DJ and other fun attractions like the trackless train, bounce house, huge slide, face painting, and raffles. Station celebrity Ana Alfaro was on hand to greet and take pictures with the guests. While other station employees attended to the popcorn, prizes, photos.
SACRAMENTO Sacramento’s radio stations, Tricolor 99.9FM, Hot 103.5FM, and 101.9 The Wolf, went to Fright Fest at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to help promote the park’s spooky haunted houses, rides, and scare zones throughout the park.

101.9 The Wolf On Saturday October 13th, Entravision and Univision Hartford-Springfield were proud to sponsor the annual “Fiesta Latina” at the Yale Peabody Museum. Attendees enjoyed performances of traditional and contemporary Latin American music and dance along with games, live animals, crafts, and other activities for the whole family. Our staff was on site with the station’s prize wheel giving away candy bags, six flags tickets and other prizes.

ORLANDO
Entravision Denver’s news team hosted the Colorado 6th District U.S. Congressional Debate at the Denver station with Republican incumbent Mike Coffman and Democrat opponent Jason Crow. The debate was held Monday, October 22, 2018 and was broadcast live between 5pm-6pm MST. The live television broadcast and streaming on Noticias Ya website and Facebook page allowed Entravision to connect with its audience across traditional and digital media while directly engaging viewers through a live question and answer process. Entravision Denver’s News Director/Anchor Juan Carlos Gutierrez moderated the debate and News Anchor Karen Vega accompanied Juan Carlos as an anchor for the debate, which fielded questions on topics including healthcare, the economy, immigration, etc.
On August 12 th, Entravision Orlando gave way to its third En Vivo concert this year. After a 5 year hiatus in Orlando, we brought back “El Leon de la Salsa” Oscar D´Leon to the world famous Hard Rock Live. Oscar brought over 1,500 people to their feet to dance and enjoy all of his Salsa Hits.

In June, Entravision Washington supported the Sunday Supper Feast and Fire in Washington, DC. Tsi-tsi-ki Felix was the host of this family-style feast which was prepared by some of the country’s best chefs from Latin America. Washington, DC, leaders gathered around the table to celebrate the 7th Annual Sunday Supper at Union Market to benefit the Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Program with the goal to increase opportunities in the restaurant business for Hispanic women.
Sacramento’s LaTricolor celebrated Binational Health Week at the free community health fair “Celebrando Nuestra Salud” in cooperation with the Mexican Consulate and community organizations on October 8th.

Rick is a 40+ year industry veteran with 18 years in Hispanic radio and television. Prior to Entravision, he worked at Telerep and Katz Media, Telemundo, and Univision. Rick has managed on both the rep and station ends of the business in both the General and Hispanic markets. “I’m excited to be joining Entravision and looking forward to being part of a great opportunity to grow our presence in the Santa Barbara market,” said Rick.
