Based on a true story, this series presents one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in British legal history. When money started to seemingly disappear from its local branches, the government-owned Post Office wrongly blamed its own managers for losses actually caused by a defective computer system. For more than a decade, hundreds were accused and lives, marriages, and reputations were left in ruins. In this David versus Goliath fight for justice, ordinary people battled seemingly insurmountable odds to right horrific wrongs. Toby Jones stars as the titular Alan Bates.
