WHAT I CAN EXPECT
I come to Canopy Center to spend time with my family.
There are friendly, grown-ups here who will make sure I am safe.
I go to a room with toys, books and games. I can play, read or talk with my family here.
There is a helper in the room called a FIS (Family Interaction Specialist). They keep me safe and are here if I need help.
I may see them writing things down or working on their computer, during my visit.
When I visit Canopy Center, I may also see Emmy.
Emmy loves the movie: Cars. Her favorite color is blue and she likes
If I need a break, it’s okay! I can:
Use my hand signal
Use my break card
Say: “I need a break.”
Use my safe word
When my visit is over, my FIS will let me know.
I will have time to say goodbye to my family.
