We are thrilled to be here with you in this iconic city—especially during Grand Prix Race Week—and deeply grateful to you for joining us in support of amfAR’s lifesaving research.

While raising critical funds to advance our work, events like this one serve to propel amfAR’s efforts to ﬁnd cures and combat the serious public health threats in our nation and around the world. amfAR’s experience and expertise enable us to confront a range of pathogens and viruses, from hepatitis to COVID-19 to mpox. amfAR is thus well positioned to address the biggest health threats of today, while preparing for those that are sure to threaten us tomorrow. All this, as we continue our unrelenting work towards ﬁnding a cure for AIDS.

Proceeds from tonight’s gala will support the work of talented scientists around the world who are dedicated to pursuing cures for some of the world’s deadliest diseases, including HIV.

SYLVESTER AND JENNIFER STALLONE

HONOREES

Sylvester Enzio Stallone’s rise in Hollywood was meteoric, intentional, and a testament to his commitment to becoming a generational talent in the industry.

Hailing from New York City, Stallone’s breakthrough came with the creation of Rocky (1976), a film he wrote and starred in alongside Academy Award nominee Talia Shire. The story of the underdog boxer Rocky Balboa resonated globally, earning ten Academy Award nominations and winning three, including Best Picture. Building on his Rocky success, Stallone created another indelible character, John Rambo, in First Blood (1982), spawning another successful franchise which established Stallone as a leading action star. Stallone would then go on to star in Cobra (1986), Tango & Cash (1989), Cliffhanger (1993), Spy Kids 3: Game Over (2003), and even lending his vocal talent to the 1993 animated movie Antz. By 2010, Stallone was ready to release his most ambitious, and star-studded, project to date: The Expendables, an action thriller that he wrote, directed, and starred in. The film opened at number one in the box office, and made Stallone the only actor to open a number-one film across six decades.

Recently, Stallone can be seen in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vols. 2 and 3, as well as Focus Features’ animated film Ratchet & Clank and DC’s The Suicide Squad. He has even returned to the Rocky franchise with Creed (2015) and Creed II (2018), playing an older, mentor version of Rocky Balboa. His performance in Creed earned him his first Golden Globe, his first Critics Choice Award, and also an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Beyond acting, Stallone is a prolific writer and director. He has written or co-written many of his films, dating all the way back to 1974 when he received his first writing credit for The Lords of Flatbush. Including the Rocky, Rambo, and The Expendables series, a lot of Stallone’s early work was directed or produced by himself— showcasing his multifaceted talent in the film industry.

In regard to the television industry, Stallone has received a few producing credits, including shows like The Contender, a reality drama following 16 promising boxers; Strong (2016), a reality ﬁtness competition with a focus on strength and conditioning; and Ultimate Beastmaster (2017), the ﬁrst international competition show with over 100 participating contestants.

But what marked Stallone’s oﬃcial breakthrough into the television industry was when he joined the production of Tulsa King (2022), a crime drama centered around establishing a new criminal empire in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bringing his

Hollywood expertise to the small screen was no challenge for Stallone, as he splits his time between being the show’s lead actor, an executive producer, and writer. The show has received praise for its authentic style, captivating storytelling, dynamic performances, and unique ability to blend dark humor into the crime drama genre.

Jennifer Flavin Stallone is an accomplished entrepreneur and model, widely recognized for her dynamic presence in the beauty and wellness industry. Her dedication to health and beauty reﬂects her personal philosophy of empowerment and self-care.

As a founding partner for Serious Skin Care, a skincare brand located in Northern California, Jennifer became a spokesperson who wanted to share her discovery with others struggling with skin issues. Acclaimed TV late night show host, admired stand-up comedian, best-selling children’s book author, muchin-demand corporate speaker, TV and movie voiceover artist, pioneering car builder and mechanic, and philanthropist…Jay Leno is widely characterized as “the hardest working man in show business.”

Jay Leno’s late night television ratings domination included two decades as the host of the #1-rated The Tonight Show with Jay Leno—a er the ﬁrst two years Jay Leno never lost a single ratings year in which he served as host.

Leno currently produces and is host of the CNBC primetime series Jay Leno’s Garage, now in its eighth season. Jay Leno’s Garage explores the world of cars, never forgetting that it’s the people behind the wheel who provide the real stories. The series debuted in October 2015 and delivered CNBC’s most-watched ﬁrst season in network history. The show is an outgrowth of Jay Leno’s Garage YouTube channel, which Leno also produces. The channel has garnered an international following on the Web and several Emmy Awards and nominations.

His new product line, Jay Leno’s Garage Advanced Vehicle Care (www.lenosgarage.com), launched in December of 2016 and has been well received by the automotive industry worldwide.

For two seasons, Jay Leno hosted You Bet Your Life, a comedy game show co-hosted by Jay’s longtime Tonight Show bandleader Kevin Eubanks.

When he’s not on TV, Leno performs more than 100 stand-up shows annually across the country and internationally, participates in numerous charity and corporate events, does voice-overs for animated series, pens children’s books, and writes a monthly column in various automotive magazines. And in his “spare” time (as if he has any), he enjoys working on his collection of classic cars and motorcycles. In fact, he has built a number of cars, including an acclaimed eco-car in his eco-friendly green garage.

Leno is the recipient of many honors, including Emmy, People’s Choice, and TV Guide awards, Harris Poll selection as most popular star on television, the Hasty Pudding Award at Harvard University, The Mark Twain Prize, the Patriot Award given by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, and being the ﬁrst person to drive the pace car of all major NASCAR events.

He and his wife Mavis, an ardent human rights activist, live in Los Angeles.

Amber Riley is a multi-faceted entertainer who has accumulated various titles over the years including Grammy-nominated singer, SAG Award-winning actress, and acclaimed theater performer. The Compton native rose to success for her portrayal of Mercedes Jones on FOX’s critically acclaimed series Glee, where she shined as the show’s powerhouse vocalist. Riley went on to star in live TV adaptations, such as The Wiz Live! and The Little Mermaid Live! She is also notably known for her stunning performance as Eﬃe White in the West End debut of Dreamgirls in the fall of 2016, for which she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2017.

In 2020, Amber released her debut EP, titled a er her new moniker, RILEY, which received praise from outlets like Good Morning America, Essence, Interview, Elle, UPROXX, Vibe, and Rated R&B. Riley made history in 2022, becoming the ﬁrst celebrity ever to win both The Masked Singer and Dancing with the Stars.

Amber came into 2024 full force, starring in the Lifetime original film Single Black Female 2: Simone’s Revenge, the sequel to the 2022 film that brought in over 8 million total viewers and was the network’s number-one original non-holiday movie of 2022. In May 2024, Amber starred as Julia Biggs in the world premiere musical The Preacher’s Wife. The musical featured an original score by fellow acclaimed entertainer Tituss Burgess and was inspired by the 1996 hit holiday film of the same name starring Whitney Houston and Denzel Washington. Born in Milan, Paola Pivi is a contemporary artist best known for her playful and thought-provoking installations and sculptures. Commingling the familiar with the alien, Pivi o en works with commonly identiﬁable objects that are modiﬁed to introduce a new scale, material, or color, challenging the audience to change their point of view. Animals are o en cast as protagonists in Pivi’s world— she draws upon their perceived characteristics and instills them with human mannerisms. TIMOTHY WHITE

New York City-based artist Michael Kagan is known for producing oil paintings with large, expressive brushstrokes that convey a decisive hand and the power of his subject matter. Kagan explores the physical and emotional journey that accompanies explorers, from mountaineers to astronauts. His dramatic paintings depict man pushing the limits of nature through technology and physical stamina. Kagan believes a painting is perfect “when it can fall apart or it can come back together depending on how you read the image and also how close you are.”

MICHAEL

Born in 1980 in Virginia Beach, Michael Kagan received his BA from The George Washington University and MFA from New York Academy of Art, where he also completed a postgraduate fellowship in 2005. Special projects include a commission from the Smithsonian, three collaborations with Pharrell Williams, and album cover artwork for White Lies’ Big TV, which won the 2013 Best Art Vinyl Award. A new sculpture collaboration with Pharrell was unveiled during Paris Fashion Week in June 2023.

Kagan has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide. In 2019 he had his ﬁrst solo museum exhibition at Virginia MOCA, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Recent solo exhibitions at Almine Rech Gallery include Brussels in 2021, London in 2022, and Paris in Fall 2023, as well as The Journal Gallery in New York City in Fall 2023 and with Venus Over Manhattan in New York City in Spring 2024.

1. amfAR will accept advance bids on all auction items until 12:00 p.m., Paciﬁc Time, Thursday, November 21, 2024.

2. By participating in this auction, you agree to be bound to these Terms and Conditions. All bids are legally binding and cannot be withdrawn. Any claims or actions arising from this auction shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, and are subject to the jurisdiction of the State of New York, New York County. In the event amfAR prevails in seeking to collect any damages resulting from the winning bidder’s breach of contract, then the winning bidder shall pay all reasonable costs and attorney’s fees incurred in any such action and any appeal thereof.

3. Payments made by credit card are subject to a 3% surcharge.

4. The highest bidder as determined by amfAR at the close of the auction lot will win the item or service.

5. Every effort has been made to describe auction items accurately. However, all items are sold “as is” and “where is” without warranty or representation of any kind as to accuracy of description, authenticity, value, or fitness for any purpose. By participating in the auction, each bidder recognizes and agrees that amfAR is not liable for any occurrence stemming from the use of the auctioned items or services. All sales are final, and refunds and exchanges are not allowed.
