THE
HOUSE OF CIPRIANI
Ninety-five years and four generations of impeccable hospitality, Italian cuisine and unparalleled service, unfold as a luxury lifestyle brand.
BORN OF HUMBLE GENEROSITY In 1928, Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. was a barman at the Hotel Europa in Venice. Among his customers was Harry Pickering, a young American who had fallen on hard times and needed money to get home.
Giuseppe lent him 10,000 lire, and two years later, Harry Pickering returned to Venice to repay the loan. He not only gave back the 10,000 lire but added another 30,000 to help Giuseppe open a bar.

CASA CIPRIANI From the first days of Harry’s Bar in Venice, there was always a crowd of people from all walks of life, merrily sipping Bellinis, chatting, and living the good life. A true private members club in the modern sense, Casa Cipriani, located in lower Manhattan, brings together an eclectic community of those who enjoy life’s simple pleasures.
