There are just two more matches to play to complete this terms fixtures and we have many teams in the mix to play finals!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

Term 2 GSV Sign Ups - CLOSE SUNDAY! Last chance! To ensure we enter the correct number of teams across each sport and age group, it is important that you sign up BEFORE the 16th of March cut-off date. That is THIS SUNDAY!!!

If you are having any trouble with sign ups or have any GSV questions, you can email me directly and I will help you sort it out. gilcril@mlc.vic.edu.au TERM 2 Trials: The trials for the Term 2 sports will take place during the last 2 weeks of Term 1. These will take precedence over your Term 1 sport training sessions. (Those playing finals will be contacted by their coaches separately) It is important that you attend your trials so the coaches are able grade all players into appropriate teams for the season ahead.

Please note that all Football Trials will be occurring AFTER school at Glenferrie Oval. 9-12 on a Tuesday and JSS on a Wednesday afternoon.

Hockey will be before school at Xavier College; Monday MS, Tue JSS and Wed SS. Netball trials will be in the PEC with Monday 7-8am for MS, Wednesday 7-8am for SS and JSS at various times across the 2 weeks, to accommodate the large number of players. We will communicate JSS times and groups once sign ups are completed. Stay tuned!

PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK This weeks ‘Performance of the Week’ goes to the....

JSS SOFTBALL TEAMS! Each match these Softballers compete they give it their all and do so with a smile!

Their coaches have reported that all players are improving their skill base and softball knowledge week by week. They are putting in the effort at training and it is showing in their matches.

The best thing about sport is that it is more than about winning and these year 7 & 8S demonstrate that perfectly. Sport is also about having fun, making friendships, challenging yourself, learning new skills and of course getting out and being active.

Congratulations JSS Softballers! Keep smiling!
