UNITI believes in the power of lived experience to create lasting change. Community Development Services (CDS), inspired by the advocacy of the Self-Advocates of Semiahmoo (SAS), empowers people with lived experience as the driving force in building an inclusive community.

For over 67 years, UNITI has supported people with developmental disabilities and brain injuries through employment, mental health, recreation, leadership, housing, and community initiatives.

CDS fosters the deepest transformation, ensuring equity for all.

Stacey is a committed member of the White Rock Rotary Club representing UNITI. She plays a vital role in Rotary’s book sale events, leveraging her positive attitude to recruit volunteers from UNITI. Each year, she serves as the captain of the UNITI Team for the Coldest Night of the Year, one of Canada’s most successful fundraising events for homelessness. The funds raised are directed locally to SOURCES, where Stacey is recognized for her leadership and fundraising efforts. Her commitment extends beyond disability advocacy; she actively supports broader social causes to ensure that inclusion benefits everyone.

Jeevan is a Co-Chair to SAS, where she infuses her leadership and frontline work to achieve their mission of making change through positive relationships. SAS is a well known name in community now, with many partnership opportunities reaching out to them. One very “sweet” event is the Surrey Treat Accessibility Halloween Village which Jeevan lead the SAS partnership on the local event.
