SUPPORTING OUR TEAM: EMPLOYEE RESOURCE REFERRAL PROCESS
A Clear Pathway to Support: Resources for All How to Request Assistance If you need support, you can request assistance by reaching out to: 1. A member of your Administrative team or your direct supervisor 2. Human Resources directly @ hrdept@westside66.net 3. Your building’s School Social Worker (SSW) Our processes are designed to prioritize your comfort level and privacy needs.
Your Privacy, Your Choice Because we want every staff member to have the privacy they need and deserve, we offer multiple support pathways. To provide the most personalized support, we will work with you to identify the best point of contact for your specific situation: For Staff with Children in the District: If you have a child attending one of our schools and feel comfortable doing so, you may be referred directly to the School Social Worker (SSW) at your youngest child’s school for immediate, localized support. Our SSWs are trusted, highly skilled team members who know our schools, families, and community resources well and are uniquely positioned to help connect families with meaningful support when they need it most. A Private Path via HR: If you do not have a child in our schools, or if you simply prefer to discuss sensitive information outside of your child’s school environment, you will be referred directly to our HR Community Assistance Team member.
Integrated Care Once a request reaches the HR Community Assistance team member, they will help to determine the best category of care to support you: Traditional EAP Needs: For clinical counseling, mental health, or family needs, support is provided through our EAP partner, Arbor Family. Resource Needs: For specific community or logistical needs, the HR Community Assistance team member will utilize a broad network of social service providers to guide you toward the right resources for your specific situation. This may include partnering with our School Social Workers (SSWs).
Below is a flowchart/decision tree that visually represents pathways for Westside employees to access resource assistance and our EAP program.
By following this decision tree, team members can see how a request for assistance—whether initiated through an administrator or a School Social Worker—is carefully routed to the most appropriate support system. Whether connected to localized support within the school the employee works or referred to the HR Community Assistance Team member for clinical EAP services through Arbor Family and/or community-based resources, this flow ensures that comprehensive care is provided promptly, effectively, and with the utmost discretion.
